The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

1881 $10 Liberty (.48oz) bought strictly as bullion but please with the advertised XF condition. EBay deals recently have had some near or below spot deals just like this coin. Even better with 10x eBay bucks!

I was only wondering the other day if anyone is still picking up American gold, having not seen any on here for ages. Come to think of it, it was usually @Numistacker, perhaps he's gone of US coins?;)

Really "cherry picking" these days, and picking up the best deals and as close to spot as possible. If I can buy with a built in premiums I will... Pre 33 gold i like to buy graded if possible.

Nice! Looks just like my 2003 1/4 Proof :P

Because I thought Young Heads were always listed as such and not obtainable via "lucky dip" at HGM

Yes but it's still a "lucky dip", just a young head lucky dip :)

I'm 99% sure he didn't mean he bought sovereign "best value" and got a young head, they aren't that stupid! or are they @Numistacker?

What sort of money was this on ebay? if not a rude question. Plenty of detail, looks nice.

If it is the same one I was looking at 143 but the pictures weren't the greatest

Hmm, not 143, it was 165 delivered. The photos were bad though, it’s not quite as good as I’d hoped for, but that’s something I can live with. I’ve picked up better for less on eBay.

Well if I was posting that I would not have said Lucky Dip, that's specific monarch territory.
