Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

I try to pick them up when I see any at a decent price, the nicer ones go in caps the rest in a tube.

I do the same, haven't managed to buy Morgan Dollars yet, but maybe need to re-appraise my bottom line.  Also, I try and get hold of .900 half's.  I currently have chance of a large quantity of South African .800 5 Shilling coins, nice late 40's- 1950 with Springbock design.

yes true but the detail is good. i thought the reverse would let it down, a reasonable amount of wear.

Yes, there’s wear to some of the lion’s faces, but they are so delicately small that I imagine they don’t last long.

Man I would love to get my hands on those SA shillings at reasonable prices. They are nice coins. Too cheap to pay much over spot lol.

See you live in east anglia what coin shops do you find good?

I don't use any local coin shops as they are to expensive , just buy off ebay when they have deals or when  i have nectar points as i did for the 2007 half sov , usually buy Sovereigns from HGM , Chards and Atkinsons or from the Forum .

@MickB how do your maples hold up?

Mine tarnished bad, even the 2012 Titanic privy that I was hoping to cash in on.

I haven't checked on a lot of them for quite a while as they're put in storage. Should get around to checking on their condition.

I did have quite a few with milk spots that I ended up cleaning off with silver dip and a gentle rub but this years Maples have a special treatment to stop any tarnishing. Takes the fun away from cleaning now :D

Three for the family :)

Thanks @Alun the boxes arrived perfectly packaged and are #awesome :D

These cases are superb - i have not handled one but they look well made. A quality product. If Alun is actually making them i take my hat off to him.

Always cast your vote - Spoil your ballot slip. Put 'Spoilt Ballot - I do not consent.' These votes are counted. If you do not do this you are consenting to the tyranny. None of them are fit for purpose.
A tyranny relies on propaganda and force. Once the propaganda fails all that's left is force.

COVID-19 is a cover story for the collapsing economy. Green Energy isn't Green and it isn't Renewable.
