Today I Received.....

1880 Half Sov 1B die (129) with obverse 4, probably a VF received this morning. Ebay BIN, seller had a bit of a high price, but agreed to my substantially lower offer, which might still have been a bit high, too late now ? 325 down to 200 offered.

I was looking for an 1880 low relief obverse 4 variant, not 100% sure this is it, but if Marsh is right, it ought to be as the others are obverse 5. In any case, I like it for what it is, a presentable young head half sov.

You are probably correct but not "and above". IMO it's an AU55 but possibly slightly less depending on how severe they judge the reverse which has a lot of wear.

My Eagles have been moved from the rimmed capsules to rimless premium capsules now, OCD or what.
