2018 proof sov

back from NGC with perfect grade

thanks @Numistacker ?

This coin confuses me

It's got the privy to celebrate 200 years? but has the date 2018.. so it's 2001 years

Isn't it the 65 year privy to celebrate the coronation?

I'm considering this coin or the bullion 1/4 oz QB dragon next payday. Just got to get it past my wife though :(

More than I should ;) it's probably worth little more than bullion, but I paid £16 + p&p. I actually have a nicer one for a lower price in the post... Swings and roundabouts

Thanks just that I've  seen one in a little better condition but the seller is asking  £22 +£2.50 p&p

I guess it depends a lot on condition: coin yearbook 2018 suggests they're not a million miles off if it's in good nick

Crown and 65 inside the crown if you look closely.

I will admit I didn't even blow up the image

I think it was because I read "sapphire" on the label, which instantly made me think it was a SOTD coin, totally forgot this years proofs had the privy

Designed by a couple of youngsters, so to speak. A nice touch.Invest in the youth.

Natasha Preece and Joseph Melia, both connected with Wales.

The Royal wedding rings etc have always been crafted from Welsh Gold since...well, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welsh_gold

I wear gold from the clogau mine ( not be be confused with the clogau gold company) due to my half welsh celtic roots.

even visted the area https://museum.wales/roman/ for a visit and stayed at a magnificent b and b nearby....shame to see it is closed now due to retirement....a magnificent house.

Great pub food in the pub nearby and a spiritual silversmith in the nearby local alleyway. Roman ruins too.
