Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

I had a bar sent to me mate Denzil down in Kernow.

He sms'd me today to say it had arrived.

'e says, Roy. Roy, e says, I got this ruddy parcel delivered today only it's heavy so it is.

I told him to open it. Carefully, I said.

He opens it and tells me it's a big ol' lump o' silver.

How big I said.

Like a pouch of Holborn, he said.

?

Like a pound of rabbit.

?

Bout the size of me fist boy...

Frustrated, I ask him for a photo of it next to something I'd recognise..

A 2005 Aussie proof 150thanniversary sovereign. Crappy iPad camera does not do the coin justice. I love the colour,  proper alloy of gold and silve, electrum I believed it's called. Royal mint could do with taking note!

Love mine
