Still a gorgeous coin, but shame it's not a gorilla. Ha ha

2013 and 2012 are kind of affordable. Dates before that are too rich for me. Shame I'll never own a full date run of them

I have 11-14. I'd love the other three but I can't see it happening.

Stacker since 2013

I was surprised too. About the size of a 20p or half the thickness of a £1 coin.

The best bit is I can handle them as much as I want without worrying about the none mintyness resale value.

That's pretty cool. Gold doesn't tarnish does it?

Sovereigns are only 22carat though. So I expect some older sovs will suffer some moderate discolouring.

Fair point.

I'd love a big gold coin that I could play with.

My gold wish list:

Tube of Sovs.

1oz 25th anniversary roo

1oz UK lunar horse

1oz 2010 PM lunar tiger

1oz 2014 PM lunar horse

It's the lottery tonight so fingers crossed.

Got my 2014 panda, 2014 UK year of the horse + $5 half eagle (1903-S, if anyone was curious) through the post, pleased as punch.

Have to say, i've read quite a lot elsewhere ragging on the UK year of the horse, frankly in my opinion it's definitely on par with the Aussie example so i'll definitely be continuing the series.

A few more bits to add to my collection.  I know some people hate them, but I quite like the coloured stuff.

Btw. Fiji's are 2012 and 2013.  It's a shame they don't change the design.

Are those colourised from the mint or aftermarket?

I think the taku look the pick of the bunch, love those coins.

I'm pretty sure they're after market.
