I also got scammed by a person called "Andres Koenig" being the contact person under Ebay user Dios111 / the guy that runs the estore dios111_preciouscoins. My story is exactly like yours and I have kept all correspondence.

This guy should serve jail time.

Please let me know if there is something I could do to assist on the case.

I have bought all my Rwanda proofs from Andre's  and his email is dr.brigittekoenig@yahoo.de , if this is same guy I have never had issues with him. maybe I should stop using him......

Hi All,

I am new on this forum and reason for posting here is as I became also a victim of this scamming group of people, though my story is quite different…

Hence, I have been reading all this with indescribable disgust and anger at the same time.

My story starts in February 2012 with my first order at Dios111 at eBay.

All went well, and my order was delivered in time and all coins were 10/10…

and soon after Friedhelm Koenig (König in German) offered me to do business directly, offering coins at reduced prices as commissions of eBay/PayPal would not applicable anymore.

In my view it made sense and I decided to give it a try as it would give me an opportunity to keep my coin collection up-to-date at reasonable prices.

As trial, I started to place a few small orders to see if all would go as planned…and so it did; again, all orders arrived in time and again all coins were 10/10.

Having confidence, I increased the volume of my orders, multiple orders per amounting to EUR 3k annually on average.

So far so good, I was happy, my coin series were up-to-date at ‘retail/mint’ prices, pleasant moreover correct communication, no issues at all!!…and this went on thru 2018.

It all went bad the following year…

I started ordering my coins in March 2019 and like always the payment was made in advance.

The following months I placed several orders for other coins but in August I was wondering what the status was of my outstanding orders, so I dropped Friedhelm an email.

Promptly as ever, he responded and mentioned that 2 shipments should already been delivered.

He provided me the tracking numbers and showed photos of his own records showing Deutsche Post reported the parcels as delivered.

Since I am living in the Netherlands and did not receive any coins, I did some investigation with PostNL (Dutch postal service).

The outcome is was truly not what I expected, not by a long shot.

The 1^st shipment has been delivered, though not to my address but to an address further down my street, the only difference was the house number and the zip code.

I reported this to Friedhelm and showed him that the shipment was not accepted by that addressee and consequently PostNL returned it back to sender. (Tracking sheet only goes as far to the Dutch-German border)

He did not understand how this could happened and claimed no error on his side nor that he received anything back but nevertheless he said to open a case at Deutsche Post.

(In the EU only the sender is able to start an investigation on a missing parcels!)

Also the 2^nd shipment has been delivered but this time it was at my previous office were I worked till mid-2017 and since I have no contact the office decided to return it to sender.

Now that was the point I was really getting annoyed as I have talked about me leaving that company and that all orders from that point should go to my home address.

All orders from (second half) 2017 and 2018 were shipped to my home, so why using an outdated address?

As more orders were outstanding, I requested Friedhelm to hold all shipments till the others were resolved.

On 21 October 2019 he responded to look at this as “I need to be at the hospital for much of this coming week and I had to prepare myself for the ensuing procedures.”

This was the last I heard from him as he has not responded to any following emails, not even when asking “how are you?” which is now not so surprisingly from what I read here on this forum.

So far, I found out the following:

The site http://dios111-preciouscoins.com/ is down.

The email addresses are still valid as they do not bounce:

The phone number is also still working, but you will get a voicemail

Now on filing a criminal complaint, this is all but easy!

Basically, all advises point to do this locally at the police station in Giessen, Germany.

There is one option that provides to do this online (choose ‘Hessen’ in the main screen, it’s the province of Giessen).

For now these are my experiences and I am looking forward to any response and advice…

I see that the royal Australian mint have started a new "pirate queen's" series. I might go down that avenue to start a collection from the beginning. I prefer the look of the Rwanda nautical series though.

it appears i was very lucky with this dios. i bought a few proof coins off him always direct after the first purchase and always under £200 orders  he was trying at one point to offer me a gold proof rwanda and was offering it at a great price. thanks god i didnt proceed
