Hi all

Have used Atkinson bullion to make my first purchase, wanted to see if there are any other recommendations for places to purchase in the UK?

Have also seen on some posts mentioning bulk buys from this website to negotiate discounts, where do I find info about that?

Best to buy your silver from Europe, way cheaper (assuming you are buying enough to offset Shipping)

I organise a group order every month/6 weeks

Occasionally Atkinsons has a good deal in secondhand silver, especially in bars but it is very hard for them to match the low VAT sellers in Germany/Belgium/Estonia.

It is a lucky dip bar as far as brand. i would opt for a known brand. i would opt for a Johnson Matthey or Engelhard bar, then compare the prices delivered from ebay.

That brings a thought to me. How is it with the 20% in UK you all keep talking about and buying silver from the UK to the rest of Europe? Is that a thing to stay away from?

Silver from some coutries in europe are no vat on government issued bullion with a fiat value. Everything shipped from the UK has a 20% vat to pay. I think thats what you wanted to know.

So any silver going across the channel gets 20% added? That sounds terrible but thanks for the info jayboat

I just had a thought are customers able to simply go pick they're order up? That would definitely save shipping

That would save shipping but the plane ticket's might cost more.
