    Silver bowls?

So I bought two old silver bowls today one weighs 166 grams and the other weighs 342 grams. They say Sterling on the bottoms I paid $200 I used an online calculator and I think I got a good deal I'm gonna post pics of the stamps and see if anyone can give me some piece of mind if they're real or not.
  6. I recently found my self in possession of this 100 oz silver bar. I have no idea what it's worth or really anything about it. I am an amateur, and don't know where to start. I'd be interested in using this to start my collection and go from there.
  7. Hello people, I am new to the Silver Forum so I hope this is the correct place to be posting this. I came across some coins that I'm looking to purchase, however, I am questioning whether they are real or not. This is one of the coins in question (https://www.powercoin.it/en/europe/3353-black-bull-queen-beasts-gilded-2-oz-silver-coin-5-united-kingdom-2018.html?search_query=gilded&results=99). The 2oz Silver Gilded Queen's Beasts. There are a few things that make me question the validity of these coins; 1.) I have contacted the Royal Mint themselves to ask if they produce this variant of the 2oz Silver Queen's Beast & they informed me that they do not. 2.) I have contacted Powercoin.it directly, via email, Instagram, & Facebook. But I haven't had a reply yet but, the Facebook messenger shows that the message has been seen. It has been less than 24hrs though. I do remember Backyard Bullion doing a video reviewing some of their products a while back, so I do think that they're a legitimate company, but this product is raising some red flags for me! 3.) All the 2oz Silver Gilded Queen's Beast that they offer are the same price £87.27 (at the time of writing this), which seems odd to me, as a coin like, The Griffin for example shouldn't be the same price as the most recent release, The Falcon. To my understanding a Gilded coin means that a thin layer of gold is applied to a section(s) of the coin & so this would make the value of the coin increase, however, I have found The Griffin online for between £60 - £90, & The Falcon between £40 - £45. So the increase in price for the gilded coins doesn't seem to be enough for The Griffin & too much for The Falcon in my opinion, am I wrong in thinking this? *Prices taken from EBay. 4.) Within the 'specifications' section it states that the only metal used is Silver, no Gold is mentioned. 5.) I can't find these coins on any other website, not even on a site that mentions that they're 'out of stock'. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I look forward to discussing this with you all!

    advice Minting Errors

Could anyone explain the various minting errors on silver coins, and the impact it has on the value? Is there a way to obtain the quantity of coins released for sale with errors, and what type of error could increase the value, and what error could decrease it? I have a number of coins that were not rotated when stamping the reverse, when they should have done. They are in good condition apart from the wrong orientation. Any thoughts?
  9. Making pouring moulds I am new to silver pouring and living in the UK it is expencive to get custom mould, or even high quality moulds. I have done quite a lot of wood engraving with my Dremel, and I’m going to give it a try with some graphite blocks. There are plenty of videos on YouTube where people have used a milling machine or pillar drill with a milling bit in, but not having those I am thinking about other ways to do it. Has anyone on here used a CAD router to do engraving? I have used 3D software in my day job but I’m far from an expert and I’ve never used a cad machine (not even a 3D printer). If anyone has, or knows anyone who has or can give me some directions it would be great. It’s something I want to get in to and a new skill to put under my belt. Thanks everyone
  10. Just wondering about theses signs on the silver, wondering if it’s anything special or if it even is silver. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
  11. So i got a BU 2015 eagle on Easter Sunday an there is a small chip near the date. It is shiny like the rest of the coin and there are no signs of wear near it. Do you think this is an error? Keep in mind it is BU. Thanks for the help, Nick
  12. Hey. So I recently bought a dragon and phoenix coin for $30. The price is already going up ($35 right now, $32 on Amazon) and I was wondering what your thoughts on this coin are. Is it going to go up fast? Is it going to drop? Do you think it will be under $50 in May? Thanks for the help, Nick
  13. I'm quite new to the silver collecting, and my first message on the forum, but if I may a question. Could it be better to sell (on Ebay) a few coins of successive years, or sell them one at a time? I think the former may be better, as one person wants year X, while another year Y. Therefore the price will rise. Am I correct in thinking this? Any help or ideas would be great.
