I was thinking the same, around same gold content (7g) a sov i bought this week for £330 whereas a 1/4oz is 370£!

ATS Bullion and Direct Bullion are both listing 1/4oz Eagles at a better price and in stock, at the moment. Unknown what their delivery / service is like though.

Why wouldn't they? Baird is perfectly reliable. Have you heard otherwise? 

I will of course, Bairds has had lowest prices consistently for last 2 weeks though, so Id start there.

Yes exactly, that is why quoting a price of a place at a time where there is no business is of no point when comparing.

I chased a few up listed on bullion.directory and found them either comparable to the more expensive UK dealers, more expensive outright or out of stock with no price showing. Maybe it was the time you bought from them? Can you place a link to the one you used? Thanks 👍

The Forum is the still the best place to buy and sell PM's from established long term members. I recently sold Gold (generic bullion) at 2% above spot on the forum and was sold in less than 30 minutes. Under normal circumstances I would try to sell on the Forum for spot but considering dealers are no longer selling for their usual spread of 3% and the best dealer price I could find was 5% above spot I moved my sale price accordingly in line with the general market.
Also been selling Silver on eBay (the best deal always be on The Silver Forum) I am purposefully charging anywhere between 15-25% more on eBay to cover eBay/PayPal fees and the seller taking risk of no insurance with PMs (unless Special Delivery) and the loss associated with the parcel could go missing in the system (not had one yet but I am hedging it will).
Over last few years I have seen certain pieces of PMs only appearing for sale on The Silver Forum and it has been great to see. If you have only recently joined please be aware these are some crazy times and price discovery up in the air. Need to restart the global economy get back to normal circumstances (god only knows how long that will take) before premiums both dealers and private seller charging returns back to normal.

The forum is a good place to buy precious metal. i haven't bought much elsewhere for a long time now. i have spent £10's and £10's of thousands here. If it wasn't a good place that would not have happened.
Prices are higher and premiums higher on the form than they were for quite a long time. That is a fact - i watch the selling section several times a day, nearly everyday, just in case something i like pops up.
Many dealers don't have much available to buy so you are on a waiting list for a lot of stuff. Premiums are higher all over the place. Members are just following the trend. This is the market. Looks at the prices on ebay and all the risks of getting ripped out.

are people remembering quick sales on gold bullion?
forum members would sometimes sell bullion sovereigns(usually)
at spot to raise cash quickly for rare opportunities in other areas.
not very common but a good amount is usually raised when it does
happen.

My point was why would anyone buy at a higher price?  I still cannot understand.  Apart from to say the said people have reached their £10,000 limit from the dealers.  Also i would like to say out the following.  
I would also like to say every now and again a member sells a (substantial) part of there stack I have seen it when the seller has been offering fantastic prices and has no takers.
