I don't tend to think about spot prices much to be honest (apart from when buying, so I know the premium)
I intend to hold onto it long term.

Yes @LongScottSilver but people will have a better general knowledge on gold coins regarding depreciation and appreciation generally and losses and gains regarding gold than me

In my view, while the Queen's Beasts coin is interesting, ultimately it's a rather poor (not aesthetically appealing) design and I just won't support a poorly designed coin or medal unless perhaps it happens to be part of a set I feel I must complete and of which the other coins/medals in the set have a good quality design.

not remove them. it doesn't mean the qc is any better than it used
to be.

Changed mind a bit, the queens head looks better in the video than the pic. What do you think if it in real life @Numistacker and @ArgentumPica?

That's unfortunate. I have no interest in grading mine, but still, it's not pleasant when they are damaged. 

I think if they made the head smaller and used chequer  board around like the other side, thenput the writing in a ring like the other side the design would pop and improve the design.   If you are reading this Royal mint and take on I'm happy to take a 1oz gold coin for each year of series and royalty!!!

I don't particularly like the obverse field's finish either,  but at least it's different, weird and kinda quirky compared to any of the others. Bit like us Brits ?

Yeah I agree, I felt the same when I looked at mine. 
Still very happy with it though. 
If it didn't have that 80's woodchip wallpaper look and had nice clean fields I think it would be much better.
