Subspecies got a reaction from stefffana in Atkinsons Buy Back "Sell to Us" Tool
That's a wide spread and wouldn't sell to them at those rates. Having said that just sold a 1oz gold brit to them at 1% below spot so no complaints on that side. Interesting to read that they are paying £20.95 for silver maples, this also applies to philharmonic which is a good offer imo. I have some and was thinking of selling them here but as someone with no selling feedback would likely have to pitch them at £22ish. So Atkinsons are good value here for newby selling. Two sides to every coin as they say 😄

Subspecies got a reaction from stackerp5 in Selling scrap silver best prices
Thanks for all the replies, I ended up selling to Gerrards. To be fair the prices offered at time of my first post Gerrards were offering 49.3p a gram. Best offer here was 50p but only wanted 1 or 2 hundred quids worth at a time so postage would have made it costly plus Gerrards paid out soon after receiving the silver. The Silver forum is a good place to buy though😀

Subspecies got a reaction from dicker in Help with Baird & Co silver bars
Can't help with your query but given James32 reply I'd be worried, because he says they're cheap.

I think they're relatively cheap because of the bulk deal, seller likely wants out in one go, versus 20 individual sales. I don't believe they are cheap enough to be worried. If they were £60 each I'd say run 😆

Subspecies got a reaction from Gordy in 10 oz completer silver
Thanks NGMD, useful info. I would pay £330 if anyone is interested.

@Tn21 did have a few a while back but your expectations are probably £330 mark historically. A few of the normal 10oz were listed today between £280-£325.

Subspecies got a reaction from Arisian in 2010 GB Gold proof 5 sovereign coin set
Well done to both the buyer and seller. I went off to investigate the 2010 set and when I came back it had been bought. 1750 sets made BTW according to Chards.

Sixgun and Mobius thanks for putting the record straight. No wonder I couldn't find it in a silver hallmark book but assumed they would be the same 🙃

Subspecies got a reaction from Aldebaran in Help to identify hallmarks on a Victorian(?) gold ring
I can't answer the question but don't think it's London 1894 as the T is in a different "frame". Ones a shield the other an octagon. Interesting thread though and I'm sure someone will be along shortly to solve this. Also not sure about the makers mark but would have thought a Coventry goldsmith would have got it hallmarked in Birmingham?

Subspecies got a reaction from SilverJacks in Grading of older coins.
Thanks Silverjacks I wasn't aware of either of those links. The coin came from my father's estate so just interested in grading for curiosity. They will probably be left to my son unless I fall on my uppers in my dotage 🤣

Subspecies got a reaction from silvergaga in 1 kilo bar silver
As above, price dependent on condition and refinery of course but no more than £735 delivered. I have a few differing refinery bars and looking to add to the list. I may double up though at the right price.

Subspecies got a reaction from blackadder in Block This eBay Scammer ASAP
You must be absolutely gutted. I wish you well in your dispute op.
Raises a question though, is it really worth selling something on ebay for a few quid more than you can get here.
Pro's you get a bit more money usually.
Cons you might lose your goods and receive nothing in return.
That looks like very unbalanced scales to me.

Not much as I've had them for 5 years. My father meant much more to me than some geezer on the Internet but thanks for your input.

Thanks. Tbf I was never touting but can see how people thought I might be.
I used to like vintage watches till they got too expensive. Luckily I got 2 though back in the day 😀
