  1. Most customs officers do not know what to do with gold. You have to tell them what the law says. In the case of Australia you need to declare anything over AUD$10k. There is no maximum but it must be Bullion Investment - 99.5% for gold and 99.9 silver. If you carry anything significant then you could be asked to evidence ownership. That is when receipts and invoices come in handy. They do not know how to read them or if they are relevant to the stash you are bringing in but it is always useful to carry a pile of invoices or receipts and give it to customs if they ask for prove of ownership. They will go away to photocopy the pile and check the customs regulations and come back to thank you for your patience. At least that was my experience. I was once leaving Australia with a significant gold. They could not find the form to declare that it was over 10 k so they asked me to just go away. Asa long as you know more than they do about the law and project confidence (with respect) you should not worry.

  4. Yes - these are quite nice bars - some of the best I have come across and they come from a first class distinguished refiner. My trading is mainly on the Australian-based SilverStacker forum. I migrated from the UK long ago so I only use this forum when I am visiting the UK.
  5. Thanks for pointing to the forum's Auction template but this post is not an auction. It is a solicitation for expressions of interest.
  6. Thanks but photos and forum name is a later stage issue. The post is to solicit expression's of interest for NADIR silver bars I have not yet purchased. I am in Istanbul and, depending on interest, may purchase the NADIR silver directly from the refiner on Monday before travelling to London. This post is not an legal offer, or an auction nor even an invitation to treat but a precursor - just what it says a solicitation of expressions of interest to inform my decision to purchase silver from NADIR before travelling to London.
