An easy EF I think on the reverse, the thistles & roses are 95% intact
The obverse is EF detail too, but it would all come down to how much those nicks hurt when someone is looking to buy. Maybe the obverse is gVF/aEF because of it.

I have just opened my order from Chard and was horrified to see the condition of the 2 free gold chocolate coins. There is a clear dink on the top left hand corner of the gold 10p and lower left of the gold 5p (see pic, will provide more if required). I am yet to check the sovereigns however it doesn't really matter - my ordering experience is already tainted. Suggestions of next step??
..... Thanks for the usual great service @ChardLizzie. The Blackpool stick of rock with one of my orders was nice but to receive 2 extra gold coins with my order (albeit chocolate) is something else.

Hi, I am looking for opinions to the grade and rough price of my 1928 Wreath Crown. I have tried to compare with sold listings on eBay and auction houses but I am not an expert. There is a scratch on the kings head and right of eyebrow But I am unsure how this would effect the price and grade?
The coin is genuine and has been in the family for years.
    All opinions welcome.

whew good to hear. Now, not to tell you your business, but you should probably drag yourself away for a moment to go speak gently to any children and pets in the house who are still traumatized by the earlier screams of rage and colourful language from the loft.

Ah yes! It's unusual for someone from the UK to reference the US grading scale initially so I was confused. Yes, definite Sheldon scale XF.
If you were to offer that to a UK coin dealer as XF he'd give you a funny look

Silver sixpence seems like a real cash grab that'll be worth 70% of what you pay for it within a year. I'd rather buy a high grade vic or edward vii sixpence for that price.

    I'm 50/50 on this.
Youtube changed from being a platform where Johnny uploaded his videos because he wanted to share his interest and got followers because of it to within 4 years Bob saw that Johnny was making a mint and wanted to start one just for the cash.
And that sadly is what a lot of these channels are about, with the same plinky-plink generic music in the background and just in it for the $$$$
Sucks that it hits small precious metal youtubers who do upload because of their hobby/interest.

I've only begun buying from the US in the last year. 4 times it was all gold, twice I had to send a declaration form to declare it was investment gold and the other 2 times it just arrived - nothing extra to pay in all cases. The only problem is on silver and/or mixing a silver/gold order.

Finally picked up the two lovely gold one - ouncers that I bought in the dip a few weeks ago. A 2017 eagle and a 2017 anniversary Britannia. Nice to contrast the colour and the designs, with the US eagle of course being 0.917. Sorry about the poorer photo of the Brit - but I am reluctant to take it out of its capsule. Regarding the designs; while the Eagle is very good (and with a big ounce you can see more of the finer details of the eagles nest and the White House ), it does make me appreciate that the Royal Mint here in the UK is willing to take some risks and plays with new tweaks to the designs on the front and back. Lets face it, we do grumble about the RM and pile into them when they get it spectacularly wrong (eg the 2018 lunar dog) but at least they take the risk. On the US side - i guess it would take another revolution to change the design. Maybe President Trump will order a new design - with the genius himself on both sides!?
Anyway - back to the final gold coin - a cool pickup from a visit to the LCS when in the States, a 1923 Melbourne sovereign for the same premium as any other bullion.  Not in pristine condition, but this was a pretty low mintage by 1920s standards so quite pleased with that.  That one goes into the semi-numismatic pile of sovereigns😊.

Also snagged a few of the annual silver 1 ounce designs - but my favourite by far is the Netherlands Lion restrike.  I could only find the bullion version, but i see now what all the fuss is about....and i may need to track down a proof! Some nice 1990 Canadian maples in OMP - i do like the old maples, and these are in great shape. Maybe being in the wrapper prevents spotting ?

Yes they do.  There are several precious metal dealers that accept bitcoin payments as well as a raft of other retailers in various sectors.  There are also bitcoin Visa cards that tens of thousands of people are using to spend on anything and everything.
