Not too sure about this one, however, it is better than the one that has the horse with flippers for hooves. 😮🤔🤔

Oviously RM would cancel a series because it's no longer profitable. But is that the fault of the product, or the state of the market? Imo,The British Monarchs series is up there with the best RM have done in recent years, alongside the QB and GE series'.
The current economic problems are probably harming RMs profits, in which case, are any of their commemoratives profitable? Maybe they are cutting/suspending the British Monarchs series because it allows them to cut 4 series releases per year. Damage limitation so to speak.
If the economy improves in future, the series might be revived. The original releases might be really sought after, in a different economic climate. Until then, it could be a rocky road ahead for modern commemoratives... Just a thought.

I 100% agree with you …. But it’s the royal mint we are talking about here. The worst of the worst for customer service  hiding behind a prestigious facade.
customer service here means zero or generic responses.  Imagine trying to get an informative answer from the bowels of this bureaucracy. It will be something like sorry you feel that.  “we remain committed to providing our customers with premium products and services” 👍

You have to wonder what travesty they’ve saved for next week.
They’ve gone big recently with cancelled series, immoral auction practices and extortionate historic ‘sets’.
I’m going with charging interest on outstanding balances for Mint Marque customers.

I'm honestly tempted just to close all dealings with them now.
Very, very little reason to hang around using RM going forward other than utilising the zero % interest free tick file
Honesty ethics quality history trusted brand yadda yadda

I'm not going to collect any other series from The Royal Mint from now on. I'll stick with the 007 series as I'm about to take delivery of the 4th coin in the next few weeks. But that's it, no more after that. If they can cut what is arguably one of the best series they've come out with in recent years, then they can cut any future series at any time for no reason
In a single master stroke of self destruction, they've just removed any and all incentive for their customers to collect their coins - other than one-offs. Talk about shooting oneself in the foot! Jeeeeeeeeeez. What an absolute disgrace the Royal Mint are and, on top of everything else, they have the audacity to self proclaim they're a 'trusted brand'. The only thing I trust them to do consistently is to royally screw over their customer base at every opportunity. Grrrrr!

Then the basic collector needs to be more selective regarding the couple of ounces they buy. Nobody is entitled to a small profit because they bought something they consider to be an investment.
All part of the learning curve.

I started buying silver in 2010, discovered the EU loophole in 2011 and took advantage where I could.
It was clear then that buying silver in the UK at 20% VAT was a terrible idea if you were looking for a quick return or trying to make a business out of it.
Silver bought in the UK is either a long-term hold, a moonshot gamble or a useful savings vehicle to help you buy gold.
