Picked this up on an Australian eBay auction. Really love the design.

I got a 1/20oz silver libertad and a gold 1/2 gram elephant. I know the premiums for those may be high but I don’t want to spend a ton for a huge gold coin, although I did buy a sovereign, and I really love the tiny silver libertad and want to get the silver libertad proof libertad sets that come in a wooden box that Apmex sells.
I want to know the mintage of the 1/2 gram elephant as I am thinking about getting it graded to show NGC the amazing work done on a coin the size of a grain of rice.

They do in the pictures, but then I see videos like @Numistacker's and they look like normal gold coins.

@ZhorroI'm waiting for the day when one of the countries that used the sovereign would make a rose gold sovereign.

My 2019 Brilliant Uncirculated Matt Finish sovereign arrived today.
The pictures of both coins on the Royal Mint’s web site are shown in a weird colour which almost defies description but which bears no relation to the colour of gold, hence the reason I was keen to do an actual comparison with the proof 2019 sovereign that I already had.
The most immediate thing one notices is the packaging.  The “matt finish” sovereign comes in a basic cardboard box whereas the proof sovereign was in one of the prestigious wooden boxes.  Also the coin capsule with the “matt finish” sovereign seems to be smaller!
I do think that “Brilliant Uncirculated” and “Matt Finish” are contradictions in terms!  Surely something is either “brilliant” or “matt”, so can it really be both?
To me, the new sovereign does not look to be very “Matt”.  It is certainly has a different finish to both the proof and regular bullion sovereigns, but I am not sure I would call it “Matt”.

This post is  a few days old but I order this 1959 sovereign on EBay. I'm nervous that it may be a fake but someone checked the serial number on the slab and it's seems to be real but I hear that people steal real serial numbers and use them to fool people into thinking that will receive a real coin. Anyways, all you British people have wonderful gold coins and thank you @Numistacker for all the sovereign videos as this purchase was because of you. As an American, I could buy a lot more of these than pre 33 gold.

IMO Definitely. The coin looks good and there are marks on the obverse that match with the picture on the NGC certification.

My dream coin has just come. Ive wanted this for ages its a nice coin. I love it cost a bit but its a keeper for a few years. My best sovereign so far i think. Could have bought 10 sovereign.s for the price but ive done it now. So just pure bullion for a while lol.
