Small date run of shields received today


The two rares are pretty worn but still decent.  The 1859 has an interesting 8 in the date, not sure at the moment if it is a straight over-stamp or maybe an 8 over 3

 

Finally arrived. Been after this one for quite some time. Not many of the 1990's proofs have achieved a 70 according to the NGC census.

Took a chance on a local auction. This 2019 Piedfort proof has been handled at some point. Heavens knows why someone feels the need to molest gold proofs. Either way, it was snapped up at a good price. Low mintage and tough to find these days.
Another one to beg @GoldDiggerDave to conserve with gravy granules and a loo brush. Might brighten up quite nicely.

Had a big sort out - full stack - soon to be a lot smaller.

Received this error strike 1oz Gold Britannia from @ilovesilverireallydo   Its a beauty.  This has got to be the only hobby in the world where we are happy to get a mangled product and be happy about it!     It's clearly not been flush within the collar out by 3-4 mm easy.    Really don't know how this got out of the factory like this.

My Sovereign run was doing quite well until my daughter’s car went kaput! I have a 2024 coming tomorrow which I purchased before the car trouble but won’t be buying anymore for a couple of months! Should still be able to hit my goal of 19 before the end of the year 🤞🏼 Going to move the 95th birthday 1/4 soon as it’s starting to trigger me sat with the Sovs 🤣

Sold the gold version of three of these recently, and while these obviously do not make up for the loss when I saw these up for sale I decided they would make adequate replacements
I do have a soft spot for these silvers in the funky little blocks and you can pick them up at a fraction of the issue price on occasion

Hoping this is a “weak S” variant. As I understand it, PCGS don’t acknowledge, so I'm going to NGC crossover just to find out for sure.
