not related to the spot-price at all.
Wait a bit and get a different price.

As I keep emphasizing, trying to pin new events to price action is a futile practice. The price make the headlines, not vice versa! Escalating price = more worry = somewhere someone prints something about an international crisis. The truth is that many events are happening in the world; some make the headlines, most do not until public sentiment triggers it.

My 3-coin 2017 sov set came today from @arshimo2012 many thanks. I don't think the coins are totally perfect, they seem to put more effort into the box, which is very nice . The box manufacturer/team should send some of their guys to package the coins.

First Krugs I've ever held......must say that even allowing for the couple of gram weight difference, these 'feel' a lot more substantial than Brits.
I think I might stick with stacking Krugs from now on, as long as I can stop the terrible South African accent when handling them  and I keep breaking into the Spitting Image song 
 
 

Down thirty quid is hardly anything, considering the price six months ago.
The tiniest blip is commented as a SLAM, CRASH, RALLY, whatever.
I guess that's de-rigeur for PM reportage.

Just messing.  It could have been though.  If you're going to send a £500 coin in the post, you should really spend the extra 50p on a decent envelope.  Luckily the coin was still in there despite the rip/hole and he'd used Special Delivery so if it had fallen out he should have been covered.
1/2 oz Platinum Eagle.  27mm coin but managed to squeeze it into a 25mm ringed T capsule.  If it hadn't fit, then it would have had to go into a 27mm H cap which I think is a little big for such a small coin.

I was doing a basket comparison and last week the cheapest 20oz of silver from goldsilver.be would have cost Euro 385 which was £330
Today, 20 oz is Euros 375 and with the exchange rate that is £328
So the £1.30 per oz drop has saved us 10p per oz if we buy some silver!
Silly currencies! argh!

I'm happy, my stack average is £13.80 so all that extra premium I paid for getting my lump of silver pressed into a coin shape and then having an animal stamped on it is now covered.
