High mintage for a SOTD and yet another addition to the ever growing legion of matte finish / privy mark sovereigns.
Doesn’t feel particularly special to me and imho doesn’t feel like a long term winner.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but with these releases i ask myself - if I was buying from the secondary market is there anything about this sovereign that would make me want to pay more than bullion for it. In this case the answers no. Matte finishes and privy marks have now firmly been done to death for me.

Just wanted to post something similar. I would look into Danish 10 or 20 Kroner, Krugerrands and Philharmonics and possibly Sovereigns, if I was in Denmark.
Krugerrands are the most popular bullion coins worldwide (40% market share according to one big German dealer), Philharmonics are very popular on the European continent (but there might be huge differences between different countries, thus I would check it for Denmark, first) and Sovereigns are also a big deal internationally but again, I would check to which extent this might apply for Denmark. According to another big German dealer, outside of the UK and within Europe they are more popular in Southern Europe. German Marks usually have a bit of a premium but Swiss 20 Franks (Vreneli) often don't and they are also popular in Germany - and thus maybe also in Denmark? - Again, something that would need to be checked.
Size wise, if it's Krugerrand or Philharmonics, with that budget, I would go for quarter ounces. I think they are the most popular size after one ounce (murch more than e.g. half an ounce) and you don't have everything in one or two pieces.
The dealers listed on this German comparison site have all been checked for being trustworthy dealers and give you a good reference for what you should pay - also in Denmark.

    Hi, @SilverFlame,
The cheapest price per gram seems to be (looking on Tavex.dk ) for Dansk 10 Kroner bullion coin https://tavex.dk/guld/dansk-10kroner-christianx/. The price per gram pure silver content is DKK 378.78/g) cheaper even than 1oz gold bullion Philharmonic (DKK 396.92/g) and 100g Valcambi (DKK 389.48/g).
In my opinion for you is the best option, being a good price/gram and small/affordable (4.48g, .900 purity). Easy to buy, and for sure easy to sell.
Another very good option is Dansk 20 kroner bullion coin https://tavex.dk/guld/dansk-20-kroner-frederik/ with the same price per gram as 10 kronen. But I'd buy the smaller one, being a kind of fractional gold at the same price.
    Cheers!
    Stefan.

    Hi @SilverFlame
I am a Brit employed by a Danish company - before Covid, I spent most of my time in Copenhagen.
It sounds like you are after bullion - in my travels around Copenhagen, I have found the best place to be https://tavex.dk/ for bullion type coins.
It is > 1 year since I have been to CPH and things do change.  I know it is 'obvious' but do take a look at the premiums before you go - when I went, there were some significant differences in the premiums that I found surprising. i.e. Sovs on the day I visited were not the lowest premium coin.
Much more specialised is https://www.hafniacoins.dk I wouldn't go there unless you are into buying numismatic coins (not to start off with anyway).
    Tak

i think i would be guided by what is happening in Germany. There are lots of coin shops over the border. Stick to coins. Take a look at https://gold.de which is a good price comparison site for Germany.
There are Danish gold coins from the past. You might like to collect these.
    https://www.bullionbypost.co.uk/world-coins/danish-kroner/20-kroner-danish-gold-coin/
If people do not appear keen on gold in Denmark you might find to buy and sell is better in Germany. Coins from the major mints are usually at better prices and widely recognised. i would be guided on what represents good value in the German online coin shops. If it is good value, then there is likely demand and a liquid market. Steer clear of bars - they are not as trusted as coins - too easy to fake.

I have also got a Sigma, a pro, I'm very pleased with it. I ordered it form the US. There is a place, I think in Slovenia, that sells it, too.
They also have competitors with similar products and a wider range of testing kits.
Some are a bit cheaper. https://www.gold-analytix.de/
Just use deeple.com (it translates better than google translate) to get the descrpitions translated, if you consider buying one of them.
Edit: Actually ,they have a UK option anyway:

Funny. My first experience of collecting (less than two months ago) was being given a 2019 sovereign by my mother.
It wasn't the size that surprised me, it was how much it was worth. ! I had no idea until that point, of the real value of gold coins.
I do now, 23 more sovereigns later. It's not only addictive, it's expensive. 😄

I believe that there is no set amount that anyone should be aiming for, rather a stacker should formulate their own sort of checklist of conditions to be met prior to choosing to add silver to the stack.  Price, premiums, availability, % of total investment, means of storage,  etc. all good considerations to take into account.  I think if you have conviction behind the reasons why you have chosen to purchase metals to begin with, then you are selling yourself short by choosing to stop buying silver just because you have reached an arbitrary set amount of ounces.
Me personally?  I like to stack silver at a particular ratio relative to my gold.

What will move the silver price is physical availability. That was covered in the video. It isn't a new idea, it is self evident from observation. We can say all day long that fiat currencies are being printed into oblivion but what we have seen as a result is a commodity (silver) which is the most under priced commodity in the world.

In one of the charts in the video we saw that investment demand for silver in 2020 was at record levels. This kicked off with the March 2020 EFP blow up. The appetite of investors large and small has not abated since. Indeed it has ramped up and is culminating in the WallStreetSilver #silversqueeze movement. The silver industry is getting onboard and working synergistically with these guys. i joined this movement when there was a handful - the numbers are now over 43k and growing by 1000's every week.

i expect the physical offtake so far this year will have exceeded all of 2020. We are seeing a real physical supply deficit unfold as a result. i see stories about Perth not having physical to meet unallocated silver investors who are demanding delivery of their silver bullion. If this idea takes hold we will see a run on silver which will expose the massive hoax which is the unallocated silver bullion market. 100's of times more promises than actual physical to back these up. This is how they have kept price down. Creating paper silver out of thin air and conning investors into thinking they have physical in a vault.
One might say the several mints, that are clearly short, have just been taken by surprise by demand. That COVID has meant their ability to produce product is reduced. They deny there is a shortage - but they can't keep up, hence there is a shortage. Sunshine Mint isn't taking fresh manufacturing orders for the next 6 months - it is proffered they are too busy making planchettes for the US Mint, which can't keep up. The fall in COMEX silver inventories in the last couple of months has been large, as the longs are demanding delivery and not rolling contracts. SLV inventories, or at least the physical silver inventories they say they have, these are falling rapidly since they shot up at the beginning of #silversqueeze. The guys on WSS came to realise that the way to take down the silver shorts was not through buying SLV, which clearly holds large numbers of silver certificates and not physical, but by dumping SLV and switching into the Sprott PSLV or stacking actual physical themselves. As a result PSLV has been taking in millions of ounces of silver as demand for the shares escalates. PSLV actually holds the physical unlike the scam ETF's such as SLV and GLD.

This is the way to do it - to reset price - it is to take silver out of the system. As Steve St. Angelo says in the video with palladium, it was the fall off in visible inventories that triggered price explosion. As physical silver gets sucked out by private investors (like us) it does the same and will trigger a price explosion, like 'palladium on steroids'. When the likes of Apple and Samsung get spooked they will want to stockpile and abandon just in time deliveries. These sleeping giants will wake up - then we will see silver prices rocket. They would pay $100's per silver ounce to keep their production lines open. There may be a brief point where the paper / physical disparities become ridiculous - as we saw in the March EFP blow up. When paper silver fell to $11 something and there was no product on the shelves. The more silver prices get hammered, the more members should buy. i can see the end is in sight - but actually i long for the days of low prices so i could stack a little bit more.
