This is the 2019 Perth Mint Swan 1oz silver bullion coin. They released this on Monday and the Perth Mint sold out within an hour. I got there at lunchtime and missed out but was able to buy one coin from a friendly dealer for the Perth Mint issue price.

Just picked up this 1917 Canadian sovereign from Australian eBay. Mintage in that year was 58,875 coins. Its always great to receive another sovereign!

Take all your silver and melt it down and then make it into a safe, then keep your gold inside the silver safe...a thief's head would explode when they saw it...lol.

silenceissilver reacted to trozau in Safe model - More gold, less silver?
Recommend just keeping gold inside the safe. Silver has too big a footprint for its price to volume ratio to warrant being kept in the safe. Use them as door stoppers (LOL).

Use it for Gold, then buy another safe in the future for your Silver.
If you dont like that idea, swap the safe.

silenceissilver reacted to KDave in Brexit status ...
    Nigel has led a good life, his wife is European, he has a wage and good EU pension coming his way. His apparent principles or apparent position, his part in the play so to speak, make zero impact on any of that. He is part of the establishment and has always been part of the establishment. He is an ex-tory party member. His home is near other people who work in various aspects of the establishment, be it politics or banking. He worked with them in the financial industry and politics for many years. Perhaps if we are generous we may say he does not realise his role, he is a cog in the machine, but his role is obvious enough. Controlled opposition. There are plenty of red flags from his actions;
Recently during Brexit, he fielded a second referendum as a potential option before the peoples vote campaign became a thing. Later when the vote was being pushed everywhere, he said it was the most likely way to stop the continuing deadlock. I think this was part of a coordniated 'testing the water' action with the public across all parts of the spectrum, which turned out to be sour. The idea was subsequently dropped by the establishment and media, you have not heard much about it recently.
He attacked the current UKIP leader Gerrad Batten and denounced UKIP when they regained their financial position and began to garner support from large numbers of new members, mostly coming from supporters of content creators on the internet. This is a red flag. Nigel was trying to turn people away from a legitimate opponent of the status quo, because he is no longer in a position to steer its direction. Batten is like you and me, he is an ex-BT salesman, nothing to do with the financial world, he is not bought and paid for as far as we can tell. There are no red flags with him as far as I can see.
While in charge of UKIP nigel ran the show as a cult of personality, his way, or the high way. People with ideas differing from him were shut down or cast out. This is a big red flag. He steered the ship. He controlled the power structure within the opposition and led the opposition.
Perhaps I am wrong but the warning signs are there - someone who lives with the elite, worked for the elite in buisness and politics for many years, and attacks his own party when he has lost control of it. It makes me think voting for UKIP is the way to go.

The Queens Beasts will fit in perfectly as they have the exact same diameter. I think you are right that both the Krugerrand and the Maple should fit. Also the Austrian Philharmonic but it will rattle a bit.

Someone told me he when he applied for a mortgage, the bank mentioned the amount he paid for alcohol in pubs as he always pays with card, there. That was in a bar, while we were ordering beer. He with his card, I with cash, waving with a tenner - "easy to avoid such a situation".

I have seen a street artist in London a few months back, who had his card device going around in the crowd, after the performance. Most people in the supermarkets pay with cards, in the UK. I think every single one of them is a complete i...t.

Lazyiness for freedom - what a deal! And it's not even an an efford worthwhile mentioning to pay in cash, at all.

You are taking away your own freedom which is your problem. Unfortunately, you are also taking away mine. Not you alone but you, together with all the other card payers. Let me elaborate, there are two issues here:

    1) The meta data. There is a nerd on youtube who could figure out which journalist at the German Spiegel (important fake news outlet, google Relotius) has most likely something going on with which colleague, just from the meta data of the Spiegel online, when where articles published etc. Card payments, produce more such meta data.
    2) If there is no cash anymore - and the less it's used the less it will be accepted by busineses - if you are a dissident, your money card can just be turned off. It's not like this is a future scenario, it's already happening. Of course, thanks to you and all the other card payers, it will be much worse, in the future. (But it is bad already, if you don't feel it yet, you might just not be moving enough to feel the chains around you). So what examples are there:
There is Lauren Southern, whose patreon account was closed without reason (at least a made up one was still provided).
The Austrian patriotic activist Martin Sellner had 9 bank accounts closed down, without having done anything illegal. But of course he is guilty of wrongthink. He has a bank account in Hungary now. He is a high profile wrongthinker but thanks to card payers, it will be extended to low profile wrong thinkers as well. Thank you!
