I've thought for a while it's a good idea. Russia is basically the only fiscally responsible major country on earth, with lots of natural resources with an educated population and without a burdensome welfare state. They also have sane social values which is also a bonus because that leads to stability. I would think the ruble could only get a lot more stronger but this isn't my field of expertise.

Russia is now the biggest stacker of gold. It is definitely coming but when is the question?
Is it worth also getting some Russian ruble?
I am now going to increased my 20% stake in precious metals.
I have also been buying a little extra food each week and some toiletries Just in case The sh@t hits the fan or interest rates go up .....

Gold registered on a blockchain, securely monetised through cryptography and stored in a regularly audited and transparent facility is as secure and solid as money can get. Venezuela have created a (sadly sanctioned) commodity-backed crypto, Russia are talking about launching a gold-backed crypto for inter-state trade, the Prime Minister of Malaysia is suggesting a gold-backed inter-state Asian currency; then there are the personal gold-backed crypto projects of Kinesis, Gold Money and, undoubtedly, a few more.
When gold is remonetised via encryption, the blockchain and transparent auditing it defeats the issue of currency debasement, makes gold practically divisible down to the fraction of a grain, increases its liquidity and velocity and negates the need to carry or personally store any physical metal.
Gold is already being remonetised, and where gold goes silver will likely follow - there is no demand for it yet, but as the silver fiat price takes off and the financial infrastructure is built for blockchain gold then silver will soon be monetised in the same way. I envision blockchain registered private 'banks', made accountable to government oversight, at which one can deposit ones gold and/or silver in an encrypted digital account and spend/receive it in the contemporary ways.
Encryption and blockchain technology makes it very easy to monetise all PMs, though the central banksters and their lackey politicians and institutions will seek to resist it for as long as possible.

Some countries have enough gold and some have sold their gold.
Circulating gold and silver will never come back outside of a Mad Max situation - but asset backed cryptos are happening - in July Kinesis goes live (God willing) and you will have a 100% 1:1 gold and silver backed currency. So to say it will never happen isn't true b/c it is happening.
There is a lot of talk about gold being used in Asia - it is being used between countries - it is happening. They are dumping the USD and using gold trade notes and local currencies, settling the balance with gold.

Well, you can't eat gold or silver, if you're talking absolute value for people, it's air, water, food, shelter. Masloe's hierarchy of needs.

I am really fond of South-East Asia culture and architecture. This year the Tiffany Art Serie has highligted Angkor Wat and the Khmer style. I didn't know this serie before and I decided to order this release. This is a real shock as I have never seen such a beautiful coin, way way way above everything I have seen. Thanks to the the "Smartminting" technologie, we are able to get this incredible level of details and reliefs.
I have tried my best to highlight the coin and the details, but it was really chalenging as it was not with a macro lens ; I had to shoot in low light to get what I wanted. With this low light, I need a large aperture (that softened the details, and narrowed the depth of field), and higher iso to get a decent speed but creates noise...
I have managed to get some macros with my phone and a special macro lens, the pictures are not good, but you can see the incredible level of details, all in a 5 cm diameter.
I am hooked by this piece of art and I am pleased to share it with you. I will definitely not flip it ! Grab it at the "low price" while you can if you are interested ...it really worths it
Ok, this is not a forum about photography technics so enjoy ☺️

Today I received...two of the 10oz QB Lions. I literally had to sift through hundreds of sold out websites until I found one that had one in stock, after contacting the company and asking if they could send me pictures of the one they had in stock (checking for milk spots), they found they had another one! Bad inventory management turned into a lucky day for me! Excited to add these to my collection.

Received these today from @SilverStan.
I'm not really into coloured coins but as they commemorate an event that my grandfather told me his first hand accounts of. I thought I'd have some, and I must say I am glad I did. Great quality and great design.

This is a belated "today I received", because after a very public hallmarking failure at the Edinburgh Assay Office due to silver contamination, this BYB gold bar was hesitant to leave the pouch
However, it eventually mustered the courage to emerge, with the help of these gold eagles which it turns out are 3% silver. The bar began to realize there is other gold bullion in the world that contains even more silver, but is still widely accepted.
Now well adjusted, and comfortable with its silver content, the bar has joined the stack and exists in harmony with bullion of all shapes, sizes, and metal content.
A huge thank you to @BackyardBullion for doing on awesome job with this bar, as usual!!

My latest purchase arrived from Heads or Tales, the 30 oz Minotaur.
I actually purchased this 55 oz Bastet XL a few months ago, but realized I never posted pics back when I received it.
And a pic of the Bastet XL with the 45 oz Anubis XL. 100 oz of silver between the two.
I'm a big fan of the silver statues made by Heads or Tales. I've purchased 7 or 8 of them so far. They are pricey on a per oz silver basis, but if you can appreciate them for the artwork rather then the silver bullion value, they are fantastic, and I highly recommend them.

A wonderful hand poured earth globe which is just awesome in the hand - the pics do not do it justice.
