Tusk said the only way we get an extension is if he sees a positive result on the deal from parliament. May can't get that, so if it is that much of a hard line for the EU then 10 days WTO here we come.

With Silver days away from prices 10 years ago I would be looking for a good investment too, just 10 years earlier! 😀
Client positions are now 93% long, the gates are about to open violently to the downside, it will not be pretty, I tried my best to warn everyone.

Anyone sick of this farce sign the petition to leave the EU without a deal. It is pathetic that the biased media is in overdrive trying to scupper Brexit by publishing only cancel Brexit petition.

I could go on a rant but these pathetic scum politicians are a waste of airspace.

1 Macron says any extension is reliant on Parliament agreeing to May's deal, which is looking unlikely. Hate to say I called this, but...I kinda did ^^^

I had a dream that the whole country was fed up of May, she was giving a speech and everybody was angrily hissing and heckling her throughout, throwing tomatoes at her and it was getting in her hair and everything. She just continued unflinchingly with her Maybot smile, delivering her Maybot speech throughout, as though everything was strong and stable as always. I do feel for her!

She is playing the position of doing what is right in the face of a parliament not willing to. It's all a show, a game. She wants this extension more than she wants the deal passed. Earlier she said she is not willing to extend beyond June as if she is doing is a favour, when Article 50 says out 29th of March.
MPs will never vote that deal through it won't happen. Especially now that tusk has said an extension is only possible if they do. Who does he think he is telling parliament how to vote. Little Napoleon macron wants us gone as well. We should leave WTO and put this lot to bed.

I would just like to add that I have read a report that Mr salvini of Italy, friend of Nigel farage is threatening to veto any extension. That is going to cost Germany an awful lot. Remember the economic plan that the EU wouldn't allow? Well I think Italy will be spending whatever it dam well pleases or the UK is getting no extension.
Second issue, mps somehow need to get around the bercow decision not to table the treaty a third time. In the next ten days. Then Germany/EU needs to pay off Italy and get macron in line, and a few other concessions here and there to other opportunists too no doubt, at great expense. In ten days.
WTO never looked so likely. But we are not out yet, any measure of treachery could happen. Personally it looks as if parliament and the EU are working together to get us out, but I'm not sure if they realise it yet.

Why do people look to conspiracy theories? They are searching for truth, usually because they have been lied to one too many times by the media. Look to cause not to symptom.
Studies show that a certain religion produces more terrorists than any other group too. Look to cause not to symptom.

Yes, I'm looking at building a modified version of it across a combination of my Pension & SIPP.
    Currently considering:
    "Gold" portion:
    12.5% ETFS Phys Gold
    12.5% ETFS Phy Silver

    "Bond" portion:
15% Scottish Widows Fixed Interest Pension (UK gilts)
10% Scottish Widows Strategic Income Bond Pension (Corporate investment grade bonds)

    "Equity" portion:
25% Equity: StateStret 50:50 Global Equity Index (50% UK, 50% global)

    Other:
    12.5% Real Estate fund
    12.5% Cash
The "Gold" portion will be held in my SIPP, and the other parts will be held in my company pension. The fund choices are as they are due to the selection of funds available.
Basically have until tax deadline to get it set up and running, and chuck large wad of £££ at it to get it started.

KDave got a reaction from Fathallazf in Are we really stackers?
It doesn't really matter very true, people are just trying to make money, some from increasing price of the metal, some from the increase in premium. Call them what you want.
Somewhere in between - I remember perth mint lunar series used to be a good bet because the premium was low enough to justify the chance on the increase in premium, but near enough to spot that if the collector market dried up they would still have a decent investment in the metal and not need massive moves in spot to at least break even. The queens beasts coins are a bit like that. It depends what you want. The real differences between investment strategy comes at either end of the spectrum, some people paying many times the spot price for a 1 oz gold coin with a ship on it, and at the other end people buying or collecting scrap and throwing it in the garden shed like my brother in law.

Copper is worth something lots of people invest in copper my brother in law sparky makes decent money recycling it. Let's use your example, a copper coin is often so expensive compared to the copper price it's not an investment in the metal. That was the point. Such a collector is doing with metals what a stamp collector does with stamps, they are collecting the designs.
There is the trap many fall into. There was a guy on YouTube who built his stack using coins he liked. When he added it all up, he had spent 5 thousand on a 3 thousand pound silver investment. Nothing wrong with doing that, but is it stacking?

May said the other day "I work for the EU". This is known as a Freudian slip, or it could be simple human error. Given the context of her actions, and now her words as well, what do you think.
Look at her actions. Her deal is a treaty designed to subjugate the UK. Where did it come from? It was not negotiated, the Brexit secretary was negotiating our departure when May magically produced said treaty. Brexit secretary promptly resigned. May attempted to pass the treaty through parliament and set the historic record for defeats in the house of parliament. The EU were surprised that it didn't get through. She attempted a second time to push this treaty through parliament and failed. It has now taken the speaker of the house to remember his position in our failing democracy and stop this vote being put to the house for a third time. May will be back to the EU to get the next version of the subjugation treaty, one that has enough changes to warrant putting to the house once more. But she will need time now, thanks to Bercow.
Afterall, if its not her deal, there may be no Brexit. She said that.
Before brecow stopped her bringing the deal to the house a third time she said, if we don't agree a deal by the 21st of March, quote - "We will not leave the EU for many month, if ever".
Extention is the next step, buy more time to change this subjugation treaty just enough to put it back to parliament. I now expect all the EU nations to allow extension. Then the UK will be taking part in EU elections May 2019, nearly 3 years after voting to leave. An utter betrayal and travesty. The damage is done. May works for someone but its not us.

    I saw a graphic that laid out the numbers as follows;
    By Vote - 17.4m Leave / 16.1m Remain
    By Constituency - 406 Leave / 242 Remain
    Constituency by party - LAB Leave - 148 CON Leave - 247 / LAB Remain 84 CON Remain - 80
    By Region - 9 Leave 3 Remain
    By MP 160 Leave / 486 Remain
Does anyone see the problem. Now parliament want another two years in the EU please, ignore the biggest democratic vote in British history, and ignore the legal requirement to leave on March 29. The only hope for MP's now is if one of the EU member states vetos the request for extension, then at least they can claim to have tried to stop Brexit, rather than explaining why they have ended democracy and law.

KDave got a reaction from AgCoyote in There is NO silver shortage - Stop the myth - WHY are you still stacking silver ???
Its not the rarity of an element that determines its price.
The supply of every element is infinite as far as our lifetimes are concerned, supply of every element is infinite, the rarest metals are infinite. How deep can we dig, how ingenious are we and what does it cost to extract those elements. Put simply the question is only; what does access to the infinite supply cost in energy. Is it worth it or are there alternatives? Silver is not valuable because it is rare. Oxygen is not worthless because it is abundant. Is there an alternative to oxygen?
Silver has utility. The energy to mine it has a cost. Demand for that utility vs cost of that energy, will determine supply. And the combination of all of those factors in balance, and many more beside, determine the price. The relative rarity of silver to other elements, you are right - who cares. It matters absolutely nothing.
