With prices going up, sellers are opening up inventory which is nice to see. More silver in my world crown collection. Most will be for sale except a few choice examples. The Peru Sol, NZ Crown, AustraliA Crown, the Ecuador Sucre (very high grade), the Egypt 50 Piastres (to celebrate the evacuation of the Brits) are some that will go into long term storage.

silver is up cos gold is up.

I expect the authors of the table are misunderstanding/misinterpreting source data, dont know if deliberately or not.  The point you raise about growth of GDP while existing nations collapse is very valid.  The problem is not so much that the fall of western GDP is too large, the gain of currently smaller economies upto 3x isnt credible in such a time frame.  The western population collapse isnt matched with growth elsewhere either, unless we all leave for India and they have no indigenous growth, or half the western world population die without any impact on rest or the world.  Except Netherlands, they seem to come out unaffected.  Its nonsense really.

It's the latter - but 'all based on fact'.  How anyone can factually predict 20 years in th future is beyond me (and literally every economist), let alone the stastical analysis that's been used to create these 'facts'.  Still, this thread is a joyous read, nothing really to do with people's reactions to the changing price of silver (or near future guesses) as it was seemingly set out to be for of course, but joyous to see the imagination that adults still have and use.

    here's my gsr maths.(with hindsight)
from the 2011 highs gsr is low.
holders of gold until dec 2015 retained 1050/1900
or 55% of their fiat gold value.
silver holders retained 14/50 or 28% of their fiat
    silver value.
those who sold gold and silver for currency in 2011
retained 100% of their fiat currency value.
ie both gold and silver are miserable holds from
    the tops(low gsr).
    currency beats both(from 2011-2015) and we're not
    talking small percentages either.
it cost people 45% of their fiat value holdings when
they thought they were playing it safe with only
holding gold. they couldn't recognise that fiat
paper holdings would beat both gold and silver over
a four year time frame.(contrary to what metals
    pumpers tell you)

with hindsight what should I be holding from a low
    gsr?

we don't know when the next top is, but we can
keep on practising and trying to improve.

Yh I find that many people don't understand gold aswell. It in my opinion is more versatile then doubters think and it can perform many functions.
Also how great was your timing of this thread. Great stuff.

i fully expect a return to some sort of gold backed currency system. We can see it in Asia. Governments buying gold at unprecidented levels as they move away from the USD. i hear plenty of rumours about the Chinese and Russians backing their currencies and State cryptocurrencies. i am involved in Kinesis which Indonesia is fully onboard with and is making it 'obligatory' to save in Kinesis and so save in gold.
There is a new dawn for precious metals. i will not be sitting on my hands - i will be more active than ever before. i see the selling section is very active like it gets when prices get high - it won't be a seller. i understand those who are selling - we have seen false dawns before and it was a prudent move to take some profits but not today i think. When the going gets tough, gold gets going. Recessions are good for real money - even deflation when the buying power of currency goes up in the face of falling asset prices. Gold initially fell in 2008 as we saw distressed sales and the necessity to liquidate assets to bail out crumbling paper asset positions. Then we saw QE gear up and the run up to 2011.
Have you noticed how gold gets a smack down and then quickly comes back - it wasn't like that before - we would have seen prices tumble for months. The world is changing. Gold is coming out of the shadows - we have seen the dawn of a golden age.

A very kind offer,  but alas I am a long way up the M1 from you...and currently it is unsafe for me to drive🙁
I have just discovered an unexpected benefit of having a painful shoulder, and being awake at 0430...’The early bird catches the worm’.
My date run of 20 French Francs Roosters has just been completed😃😃😃😃👍 (1899-1914)....All going well!
Within a few hours of being listed, I have found (and bought) what looks to be a 1900 Rooster in great condition. The bad news is I had to pay an unpleasant premium over spot, but the coin looks worth it to me. (plus a bit of retail therapy might help my current demeanour)
