Typically the Perth Mint releases their upcoming Bullion coin program on September 1. Hopefully that tradition continues as I'm eager to see the 2023 Perth Mint lineup.

I like the Tudor version of the Yale better.  Is there going to be a 2022 silver valiant? I'd hate to see that series end, it's spectacular.

The opportunistic money making git in me led to me tapping a South African of my acquaintance to see if getting sticky mits on some was do-able. He was ahead of me and had arrived at the conclusion that trying to take one out of Zim could jeopardise the number of his body parts remaining attached to his body.
How releasing a coin worth $1,800 dollars on so in a country where $1,800 dollars is probably more than the inhabitants of a small town possess between them is somehow meant to help them/ the economy leaves me scratching my head.
It makes Covid lockdowns, invading t'Ukraine or electing Biden seem vaguely sensible. Answers on a postcard please...

I'm sure it is but I don't like them. I don't like the US Mint, the US government or its coins. Foreign stuff seems exotic and more fun. The other mint's are certainly higher quality with more reasonable premiums.

It'd be great to see new entrants into the bullion coin market. All the commonwealth countries do a great job but it'd be nice to have more options beyond UK, Canada, Australia, US, South Africa and Austria. It's great that Spain seems to becoming a player in offering gold bullion.
The dolphin is Greece's national animal. I think a Greek dolphin series would make for a fantastic bullion coin program.

Well, I have just received my double sovereign and I must say that it is quite impressive. I think the Mint got the proportions pretty well right. It looks and feels good in the hand (suitably protected). The special 2022 design  stands out as it should. Even the coppery look seems somewhat abated.

Obviously the circumstances are tough in Ukraine these days. Does anyone know if this coin will be minted this year? I think it'd be a great gesture if the Royal Mint, US Mint, Royal Canadian Mint or Perth Mint minted these coins if the Ukrainians are unable to do so.

Ordered a random 1/4 oz Perth Mint gold Kangaroo. I got lucky and they sent the 2018 which is one I've always wanted and think is one of the better gold kangaroos.

So I managed to snag one, so stoked!  Once it comes in next week, I'll post pics.   

This alone tells you everything. The ratios alone is astonishing… 367 on Silver is mindblowing… All these "markets" are just paper. Nothing else.
Silver is 3x more manipulated than Gold. Even 110 - 1 in the Gold paper market is ridiculous.
