Some 2017 Perth Koalas, Some Next Gen 2018 Koalas, and some 2019 Royal Arms. All impressive. I knew what I was getting with the Koalas, but these are my first Royal Arms. I think the Royal Mint is making it a co-standard national bullion coin along with the Britannia. It's going to be the base of my national bullion coin stack from now on. Very cool coin.

The premiums on platinum suck. There really isn't much selection relative to gold and silver. I wish there was more fractional platinum.

Glad I was able to snag the 2019 UK 100 Pounds platinum QB Unicorn & 2019 Australia Aus$100 platinum Dragon for US$891.11 & US$907.39, respectively last Mar 31 on the Bay of E (before the uptrend). The nice designs were an added bonus.

My girlfriend works at a local bank. Recently a lady came in to deposit 6 rolls of halves. My girlfriend noticed that all the rolls had “65-69” written on them. On her lunch she called to confirm the silver content. I quickly drove down with 60$ to buy all six rolls of 40% Kennedy halves! Coin roll hunters dream! I’ve never actually hunted rolls of halves, only dabbled in penny roll searching. The benefits of dating a banker are certainly paying off! This was her first real score. Other than this she’s only found a couple decent star notes. I just figured I’d share my excitement!

I've thought for a while it's a good idea. Russia is basically the only fiscally responsible major country on earth, with lots of natural resources with an educated population and without a burdensome welfare state. They also have sane social values which is also a bonus because that leads to stability. I would think the ruble could only get a lot more stronger but this isn't my field of expertise.

People are hording Au. A lot of cultures still use it as a wealth status ect. People in the west have forgotten the roll of Au. China for example have for a few years been encouraging the peeps to own gold.

Reminds of that Benjamin Franklin quote
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
But swap out safety for convenience in this case lol
I know cash is better in the grand scheme but boy is contactless by far the more convenient

It will happen out of necessity. The credit driven, social welfare state is completely unsustainable and there is too much political tension/potential debt crises that could wreck currencies for this to last forever. Here's a great presentation by Grant Williams, it's well worth a watch.Grant Williams on the return of the Gold Standard.

I hope that people who voted "no, it will never happen" are proven wrong. I believe everybody here would want that but members with "no" opinion believe that realistically it will not happen.
I am an unwavering optimist. Just two days ago Prime Minister of Malesia called for common Asian currency that is backed up by gold. I think his position is more than just wishful thinking.   He wouldn't just blub something to make the news. People commented massively in support of that PM on YouTube. They also mentioned that the last person who wanted to do that for the African continent was assassinated but American supported rebels/mercenaries. Yes, I am talking about Gadaffi. I think times and places are changed for the better. I don't think Maelsyan PM is in danger like that. Besides that, as written in an article we are commenting about,  there is an increased number of countries that want gold standard and have a big stick behind them so are not afraid of the wrath of the US.
