    That's a good question!
Most mints, especially those who make collector coins, have a schedule of releases, which they understandably try to keep confidential or private, until they are ready to announce their release dates.
Some mints are more informative than others. Perth Mint are usually great to deal with, and our British Royal Mint seem to be one of the most secretive.
Some mints, like Perth, have for a long time, issued their next year's coins several months early, possibly partly because Australia is geographically remote. Only in very recent years dis the British Royal Mint start to issue coins prior to their year date.
Some of this is possibly due to the designs being a work in progress, therefore subject to change. Some of it seems to be poor leadership, indecision, confusion, and poor management.
TSF members can vouch for some of this, as they often spot coin products on the Royal Mint's website, which are unexpected, or with incorrect issue limits, or other errors.
The best guide for many regular coin issues is often to look at release dates in previous years, but these can change from year to year. Personally, I don't see why the RM can't publish a calender of future releases, even if they added "Subject to Change".
The RM also seem psychotic control freaks at times. They have a retail division which sells direct to collectors and investors, and appear to want to control or monopolise the UK marker, but clearly need international distributors for non-UK markets. Even though the UK has a high concentration of buyers of British coins, for obvious reasons, the international market is potentially far bigger, again for obvious reasons.
So what happens is that some releases are handled almost exclusively direct to UK consumers vis the RM website, whereas others are also done via distributors. In the first case, even trade distributors generally get no notice whatsoever, and in the second case Product Information Sheets (are they taking the P.I.S.?), get sent to chosen distributors a short time before release. These are always subject to strict embargos. It causes problems when embargos get broken. Distributors provide trusted dealers with some of this information, as they want to get orders as early as possible. Some dealers are good at respecting embargos, others are not as trustworthy.
I sometimes have some advance knowledge, but when it is under embargo, I would not divulge it.
Some years ago, I / we made a forecast that the next year's Lunar series from Perth Mint would be the year of the goat, and could be expected by Chinese New Year, and tha the design would feature one or more goats. This was hardly a crystal ball job, but unbelievably Perth Mint got complaints from some German dealers that we were in breach of embargo!
On the Chards website, we do an annual forecast, some of which is guesswork, or intended to be humorous, of next year's coin releases and designs.
For the Platinum Jubilee coins, just looks at the known dates. "The Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II is expected to be marked in 2022 in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, being the 70th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II on 6 February 1952.", so expect things around or before 6th February 2022.
Other TSF members check the London Gazette for Privy Council Notices, and report their findings on TSF.
I hope some of this helps. 🙂

Andrew’s boring but interesting fact #1: the word ‘facetious’ is the only word in the English language that contains all the vowels, in the correct order, once.

The RM decided to launch a new series of coins called The Great Engravers to commemorate engravers of coins from past years. The first coin launched 2020 was Una and the Lion. They were not launched in massive numbers I think the 2oz silver was 3000 and the gold around 225.
When they were released they were in fact beautiful but the numbers caused a slight problem as every collector wanted one. You have 2 types of buyers, true collectors and flippers. For the flippers this was an ideal situation as numbers of coins were low and demand high so it drove the prices up.  Golds hit 25k and graded silvers were making up to 6k, it basically went mental. The mint release prices were £4485 and £180
Now we have the second coin in the series The Three Graces, again small numbers ( 3500 & 325 ) and again a frenzy. This time however some people are sending their coins to be graded as they realise there is a lot more money to be made. Grading takes time and until those graded coins hit auction it is difficult to put a price on the coins in the market.
Hope this helps and I got it right

I thought I would upload a comparison between the two silver sizes of the Three Graces, seeing as I’m in the very lucky position to do so. The first two close-ups are of the five ounce. As you can hopefully see, the depth of the strike on both coins is pretty incredible, to say the least!

    Five Ounce

I can assure you, any dust particles you see are on the capsule and not the coin ( I think..!)

    Two Ounce

Sorry, I would upload more photos but unfortunately I’ve hit my file size limit. Even after compression lol

    Looking so wonderful this coin.
One small issue that is not on the capsule, looks like a little piece of dust or something, I am no expert but is this the kind of thing that conservation with a coin grader might help with?

Otherwise, I could not be happier, it looks wonderful and has so much going for it as a coin.

I was a little concerned about the rim of the coin on the Queens side above 2020, but upon closer look on the 4k video It looks fine

Nobody knows and if they did and told us they’d get into a lot of trouble and lose their dealer licence.
They won’t do two releases on the same day.
I spoke to a dealer today (by chance and got talking about 3G’s) who said they had over 2,000 emails asking to reserve a Royal Mint Three Graces coin for them. The dealer is getting all of their allocation graded. They don’t know when either yet.
Apparently they will also all be raw coins from Royal Mint!
There will be a lot of disappointed people wanting the Three Graces coin.
2,000 emails is not the same as how many want one of these coins. It also sounded like the mintages are not increasing so it really will be a lottery.
    Best of luck everyone.

I was told the exact same thing by my local post office in here in the states. I had a coin ready to ship back to The Royal Mint and they told me that I could spend the money to send it only to have it be returned to me because of some regulation that prohibits shipping silver, gold and platinum coins to the entire U.K. Needless to say I am at a loss for words as to why they don't allow it and it has changed the way I will order in the future.
