My first half solvern 2004.

Some odd bits today. These little silver coins are actually centres from American Casino Silver Strike. Some dolt thought it was a good idea removing them. Shame as the Marylin Monroe and the James Dean command premiums as do a couple others. 
Then a trade unit and a Panam round, rare as not easily available in U.K. 
then last, 1/10 krugs and a lusty Lizzy  Young Head full sov. 

Completed my 1989 Gold Sovereign collection thanks to an excellent pick up from @Quicksand005...a 1989 Half Sovereign graded PF 69 Ultra Cameo. Quite a beauty!

Bought from Ebay raw and graded via Numi. Very pleased with the result. If anyone has any 2005 coins to sell then get in touch.

 

No Box or COA, +9%. Bought unseen and I am very pleased. 😁

I think I have a problem. 1/10 Brits and full sovs from @arshimo2012 and the quarter from @PansPurse
The quarter is a London Mint office issue - not always a big fan of their overpriced stuff but felt that this coin was worth getting and had been debating - its designed by Angela Pistrucci, "the great-great-great grandniece of Benedetto Pistrucci, has recreated this iconic ‘Saint George and the Dragon’ design"

My second ever gold purchase arrived today. A good condition 2002 half sovereign.
 
 

Added a mix bag of half sovs. Shame about the red oxidisation on a couple, might take the pair to be cleaned ultrasonically 

Nice set, the change from block capitals would annoy me though!

I started this collection in June last year and then had a tax rebate just before Xmas so bought the bars for my little stack from Ashimo, Stacksellrepeat and 1/4 of gold from Mick D. The rest of it was purchased from BYB and through the group orders. It is nice to be here on the silver forum, it all seems very civilised and gentlemanly so thank you all at the Silver Forum for making such a great platform for connecting us all.

On Friday received a few lots I purchased at auction plus an eBay purchase. 
The ebay purchase was a 2008 British sovereign. I already have one in for grading at PCGS so will see how that turns out before deciding what to do with the new coin. 
Next is a 1930 Melbourne sovereign. Melbourne was a branch mint up to 1931 so this is the 2nd last year of production. Mintage for this circulation coin was about 77,000, 
Also bought the modern Perth interpretation of the sovereign, this one the 2013 proof. 

Thanks to @kneehow2018 for another 1Kg 2017 Libertad and to make it twice as nice, a lucky 1kg find from Atkinsons. 

Correct, not sure whose picture you're referring to though, the one i just added is the plate coin from the Marsh book as i know where this coin is, starting to get confused with all the pictures here lol

yes it's a full sov, second bust, sixpence die was only used on the half, and it seems they also used the older 1st bust obverse dies as well.

Personally think it's a 6 followed  by a worn die/swarf  or muck filling the gap in the number to make it look like a 8
