I didn’t receive these today but very recently.
Silver flatware can be a real bargain for those looking to stack silver for weight.
Three Victorian silver spoons, hallmarked 1853, weighing over 60g for 10% under spot.
They might not be anything special but they’re full of almost 170 years of history and they’re silver!!
 

Having shed a bit of weight recently, here is one of my new purchases. Not the most expensive of things relatively speaking, but a lovely 1937 Proof Specimen set. Been after one for quite some time but always nervous to pull the trigger... thank you to @richatthecroft and @Elementsfor all the help and advice! I've picked a few to photo, most are in very similar condition.
 
 

A lot of churn in the stack lately, many out, these are the first two back in.

This is my latest pickup and keeper, a 1943 dated, United States 'Walking liberty half dollar' minted from .900 silver.
This design of coin came out in 1916 and was made unchanged until 1947, three mints made them, Philadelphia (coins with no mint mark) , Denver (a D mintmark) and San Francisco (an S mintmark), some years and makers being rarer than others.
The front of the coin feature the American Eagle walking and the reverse Liberty walking draped in the US flag, the walking liberty design is still used on the 1oz bullion coins, something that puzzles me is why they only had a 1/2 dollar during the war years and not a 1 dollar coin.
Production for my coin was,
53,200,000 by Philadelphia in 1943,  
The coin seems to be a good strike for the war years and the lustre is really nice on this one, it just has a couple of bag marks on the liberty side but that does not bother me.

I expect  gold to get smashed this week by the money manipulators. Chinese gold week. Hang seng closed due to this holiday so the Asian markets won't be buying. Hold tight all. Could be a right kicking this week but another buying opportunity....

Very happy today. Have wanted one for ages and finally found one at a price that I was happy with 

I picked up my first special design sovereign the 2005 proof, the least popular design I read somewhere, personally I like it! The good thing about starting to buy gold at this high price you'll think you're getting a bargain when it goes down 😀

Not everyones cup of tea, but i think the Britannia’s look great in platinum. Thanks to @Chrisplym for selling me this 2019, completing my run from 2017 to date.

The last four coins in my Aussie Lunar2 series finally turned up. All the collections I set out to complete back in May when I was scouring the net (and found TSF) are ticked; so I’m pretty pleased to achieve it in around 4 months.
