  1. not sure about that because energy prices keep going down for the moment however I hope you are right and it goes up as I have a few bits and pieces to sell next week , I'll post them here on the forum .
  2. Looks like there is a solid support at around £1440 .
  3. You’ve been seeing further downside for gold for long time now , haven’t you ? 🤣
  4. We might see £1500 again soon which I think would be a low price for gold given what’s going on in the world right now
  5. Jeez , what’s happening? 😀
  6. I just don’t see gold price going below £1400 in 2022 in fact I think it will probably stabilise around £1500 . I don’t think this war is going to end anytime soon and even if it did the market won’t be the same as it was before the war because of the sanctions and the oil and energy situation 🧐
  7. It doesn’t really matter as long as you’re not buying a huge volume , in long run your average price won’t be affected that much by a small purchase at the wrong time . war might stop tomorrow and price down to £1200 or few more countries might get involved and price up to £2000 .
  8. When I first started buying gold in 2018 it was £900 an ounce . two years later when the pandemic first started I paid £1350 an ounce for my bullion gold and people called me crazy for buying gold at it’s all time hight price , few months later when I wanted to buy a new car and needed cash I sold the same gold for £1520 an ounce 😝 goes to show the price that might seem very high to you at some pint will become a dip . buy whatever you want whenever you want regardless of the price , it’s gold , that’s why it’s a safe haven because it’s the safest investment on the planet .
  9. Easier said than done my friend , you think you can sell high and buy low , you might get lucky once or twice but at some point the price won’t go back down anywhere near the price you sold it for . So I wouldn’t sell my gold for profit anymore , I’d only sell when I need the cash .
  10. Best thing I’ve done was to put my gold into a safe deposit box not only it’s safe but also I don’t get tempted to take profit every time price goes up 🤣 honestly every time I sold my gold I regretted it big time , i sleep much better knowing I have gold than knowing I sold my gold for a profit . Obviously sometimes you’re forced to sell if you need the cash for something otherwise relax . price is looking nice and sexy 💪
  11. I see gold is looking good again , unfortunately the situation in Ukraine doesn't look good . By the way i haven't been an active member lately because I enrolled in an Integrated ATPL course and going through my nine months of ground school at the moment which requires constant studying and leaves me no time to do anything else . hopefully I will have more time to spend with you guys once I pass all my 14 theory exams and start my flight training in August .
  12. looking good , £1400 by Christmas and into January would be very nice
  13. yes obviously we know auctions wouldn't allow people to bid on their own coins but sounds like people are making second/fake accounts or using friends and family accounts just for shill bidding and I don't think you can do much about it . like I said in my comments I don't believe auction houses are doing anything wrong and it's not your fault that these things are happening and I am sorry if my post is causing damages to your business but I am just looking out for my fellow coin collectors and doing my best raise awareness about the current situation . it's one thing assuming shill bidding happens in auctions , it's another thing when people proudly admit to shill biding .
  14. don't get me wrong , I don't have any problem with the coin cabinet and the people who run it , the problem is the abuse of coin cabinet auction by some sellers and as a result some people maybe those who are new to coin collecting end up paying a lot more than a coin is worth and it also creates false prices in the market . yeah I am shocked as well , rule number one in any auction is that YOU SHOULD NOT AND CAN NOT BID ON YOUR OWN ITEM , it just doesn't get any simpler than that , I don't know what is so difficult to understand about it . and it's absolutely disgusting that these people are admitting to their wrong doing in public without any shame whatsoever , they are proud of what they have done and they are laughing and joking about it and calling the winners of those coins idiots , coins that they sold in the dirtiest possible way , they have no dignity therefore no shame .
  15. I guess they mastered the trick , they bid just enough to push the price without winning it , the whole point is you should not bid on your own item , simple as that .
  16. just wanted to give you heads up , be very careful when trying to buy coins on Auctions like the coin cabinet for example , a few people have admitted that they have been shill bidding on their own coins and they are not even ashamed of it . I always looked at the coin cabinet and thought something doesn't feel right , now I know why . one person who used to be a member of this forum admitted that he has been bidding on his own coins to make sure they don't go for a lower price than he bought them himself and he is so proud of his doing that he says he has no regrets and he would do it again and again . Another guy said that there was fault with his keyboard and he accidentally bid like 20 times on a 2016 half sovereign which sold for nearly £1000 , and guess what ? the guy with the faulty keyboard who placed 20 bids on that coin , did not win it hahaha Anyways be careful when buying/selling coins on auctions , there are dishonest disgusting people out there who would and are doing things like this .
  17. nice one Dave , I know the feeling when you receive a piece of gold by post , great feeling and welcome to the world of precious metals , May you receive many more of these shiny pieces , be careful though it's highly adictive but what addiction better than stacking/collecting gold .
  18. it's been too low for so long , now it's time to go up
  19. I am really happy with this number , hopefully it won't go down like last time when it reached £1340 followed by a big sell off and down all the way to £1260 .
  20. what ? 😆 so based on your theory a cheaper house is not necessarily cheaper either 😅
  21. welcome to the silver forum
  22. back on track again , soon we will see $2000 , I just don't see why not .
  23. are you joking or being serious ?
  24. oh okay sorry , yes dealers normally buy % 1 or %2 below spot and and sell %3-5 above spot , that's how they make money but you can always rely on them to give you cash for your gold almost instantly no matter what's the spot price .
