Someone gave me advice that I took and it really helped.  Go to your local coin shop (or the one closest to you ) and spend a little bit of time in there asking about what they sell for over spot, what they buy back, what they won't buy back etc.  See how they are and go from there.  Unless you go wild online selling your silver in the future unloading a large amount at once will surely happen at your LCS so its good to know ahead of time a reasonable estimate of what they will do.
For example my LCS will buy back almost anything except large bars so I stay away from them because who would I sell it to you know?  All things being equal and to answer your question, I'd ask what they buy and sell Maples & Eagles for.  If one is a better deal then go with that one but that's just my input.
    Happy stacking!

Mapless or eagles both are a good choice. But there is so much choice.

I would get Kangaroos. They are my favorite national bullion coin.

I'm strongly considering making them the base of my stack. They are 4 9 fine like the Maple but from what I understand, they have fewer milkspots. (I don't look at my coins every day, the last time I did, I didn't notice any milks spots on any of my coins, maybe I should have a more thorough look the next time, though.) Also, with the Kangaroos, I like the little A inside one of the As as additional security feature. I live in the UK, but I'm not sure if I will live in the UK or on the continent when being old, thus I don't consider the Britannia an option. It's too unclear how liquid they really are on the continent. The Royal Mint not publishing the mint figures really puts me off them. Will a dealer on the continent take it, when I drop off a bunch of 500er boxes? I'm sure that is the case for the Maple, the Eagle, the Philharmonic and most likely for the new silver Krugerrand and the new Australian Kangaroo (250er boxes). Koalas, Kookaburras, Libertads and Pandas are too expensive for being the base of my stack. If if wasn't for their high premium, it might be the Libertad. I like their design. If I hadn't made the decision to go for a 999.9er coin, it might be the American Eagle. I like their matt finish. If it was not for their milk spotting, so often mentioned here, it might be the Philharmonic, they must be bigger on the European continent than elsewhere in the world and are one of the big coins on a world wide level, so they must be more liquid there than any other coin. With their new mint shield technology and being a 999.9 er coin, I'm still considering the Maple as well. Maybe I will split the base between them and the Kangaroos. The reason I don't consider the Beast Series as base is, a series is too complicated as base. Although, maybe getting a few monster boxes of just one of them, would make me the world wide specialist for them, after a few years, lol.

Im learning more and more about the relationship between the online dealers and PCGS / NGC.  They should at very least have to disclose the coin was previously sent in for grading.  At least we know upfront.
That said I still think its a winner coin and am probably going to get one.  It will be the first major coin I purchase in gold and the first submission I send for grading.  No idea what to expect.

I have been collecting silver and gold for a few years now and I would never put down a single person who wants to grow their wealth with metals.  I am curious, for those on the forum who stack for a SHTF situation:  If we suffer a massive economic collapse (like in Venezuela) how do you think your silver's value will be effected by peoples feelings on the government?  Do you believe that people's views on the government will effect how they view and value government backed money like silver eagles, junk silver etc?

I don't have much gold but I don't believe paying increased premiums is worth it for fractional gold.  I'd rather put the money aside and buy 1oz at a time.
My personal ratio of Gold to Silver is roughly 100-1 but I'd like to get it to about 50-1.

Personally, I try and only buy what I know I can sell at a coin shop.  I am lucky to have a few near me and I talk with them regularly.  I know what they buy and sell.  It keeps me focused on a few styles and designs.  It also keeps my stack liquid.
I don’t want to get into selling coins on eBay.  The fees are too much.  Just giving away money.
I do own a few coins that I got because I plan on keeping them very long term (most of my stack I plan on flipping to gold when the ratio is favorable to do so).
My favorite is the Barbados Trident.

The tea leafs/charts suggest support around $13.80.  i If it goes beyond that anyone's guess, support would be somewhere around $9.50, but i believe fundamentals would kick it back up before then.  Also shows oversold already so that seems unlikely and probably trading sideways around where it is.

Instead of the American Gold Eagle (.9167 fine), I would suggest the American Gold Buffalo (.9999 fine). Both contain a net of 1 tr oz gold. Eagle started in 1986, Buffalo in 2006. Both $50 face value.
Canada Maple Leaf gold (.9999 fine) started in 1979. Contains a net of 1 tr oz gold and $50 face value. From 2013 and onwards, micro-engraving has been added as a security feature.

I don't like the silver eagles. Probably because of the "in God we trust" slogan. I know UK coins have a religious reference but I can ignore that because it's in Latin.
Anything Star Wars or Superhero makes me want to shout "grow up geek". I get that people love Star Wars and Superheroes but I've never been into that. I just don't get it.

I also tend to find American Silver Eagles rather boring.  I have a ton of them.....a ton of the same thing over and over again.  The gold American Eagle is nice though.
Though I reside in the USA, I like Canadian coins the most.

Not a huge fan of the Liberty Coins.  Sorry.  Think the other countries have better.  I like designs that change.  Even the Maple Leaf changes a little.  I also don’t like how 2 of the 3 major mints in the world (Perth & RCM) are churning out coins all with the Queen on them.  A little variation would be nice.
