I didnt have any delay with my coin from you but being a forum member I am aware of some that have.  I just want to say its nice to see a company grab the bull by the horns so to speak and directly address faults and a very generous compensation offer to boot.

It will be interesting to see how attitudes change in the coming weeks but this post certainly makes you an attractive company to deal with.  Other companies who I wont mention are gaining a reputation for their direct lack of customer service.  It does not go unnoticed, kudos to you.

Hi all members of the forum,
I am a representative of the organisation The Buckingham Collection Limited, firstly we would like to express our sincere apologies to those that had to wait 30days for delivery for their coins. I'd like to offer an explanation to why this happened and some things we have implemented for this to not happen again in future. As I'm sure everyone on here is aware Gold is at an all time high, this really did have an effect on orders, we where inundated with so many orders that stock ran out. Where we purchase the stock from, there was a huge delay in our delivery out of our control. We often use just the one supplier to ensure the best deals and delivery times.
So rather than refusing orders we continued to accept orders without knowing there was going to be such a large delay in deliveries. When we did receive any enquiries we did inform the customer of a delay in delivery. (However we would like to acknowledge there could have been clearer communication)
I have seen some comments on here concerning us being a new firm. We are a new firm nearly one year old, but this has no bearing on the the delay in delivery times or how we treat our customers. We collectively as a group of four directors have a wealth of knowledge concerning coins and offer coins at fair prices, of course we do have a mark up on some of the pieces we offer, this is standard practice as we lose out on the bullion coins, we are a business and do need to pay costs. It has been a difficult year with the sky rocket of gold but we are still here to tell the tale and will be for the considerable future.
I would like to address a few of the concerns regarding our offices and accounts. With us being a new firm we are still not yet due to file our accounts, we are also not a marketing company working out of a mail house or "virtual office" we are in Richmond House with plenty of room for expansion which is what we intend on doing and expanding rapidly.
I would also like to address "The Regal Mint" this is a company not owned by us, nor do we have any connection, that company is dissolved. We changed our name from "Regal Mint" to "The Buckingham Collection." As can be seen on companies house. We chose a name that sounded prestigious as we are a Gold specialist and only selling 22 Carat Gold or above, we do not sell any other precious metals.
Also. "Yes" we only offer one bullion order per household per year.
All sales should be delivered within 7-10 working days maximum from now on. However we have implemented a few measures to ensure that our customers receive their coins in adequate time frames, the first being an alert system.
Any orders that we expect will have a delay in delivery will be flagged by our system, automatically a text message or email will follow, giving an estimated time frame of delivery giving us clear communication with the customer, upon receiving that message, if you are not happy with the time frame of delivery we will honour a full an immediate refund via your payment method. (please be advised this takes 3-5 days, thats the acquiring bank not us).
The second implementation: We will refuse orders for coins if there is no stock available, unless customer is happy in waiting the time frame within our terms and conditions.
Paying via Paypal is available on our site as a method of payment along with our standard card processing.
As an apology from us here at The Buckingham Collection we would like to offer a FREE half sovereign to those that had to wait the long time frames for delivery. To claim your coin please send us an email at info@buckinghamcollection.co.uk with your surname and postcode only. We will check the system if your wait time was longer than the 7 - 10 working days we will have your free half sovereign sent out as a priority. There is a maximum of 10 that we can offer, the offer is only available to forum members only.
We are going to continue to improve our products and services and hopefully build and regain the trust in not just the members here, but everyone.
    Thanks again for reading.

Guybrush reacted to mr-dead in Gold sold - my lessons learned
So now I have sold my entire gold stack I thought I would post some of my lessons learned for anyone that may be interested.
Total amount of gold sold - just under 55oz
A total mishmash of coins, bars, bullion and semi numi stuff.

    My lessons learned
    1) Fractionals at 1/4oz or under are defo easier to sell than larger items.  Older Pandas were the most popular followed by the lunar series and retain the greatest premium.
    2) Bars do not sell as well as coins (no problem at the dealer but you will get a lower payment compared to selling privately)
    3) It takes a lot of time and hassle to piece out your stack if you want to maximise profit, the more diverse the stack the longer it will take.
    4) Having physical gold makes it harder to react to spot price, when you decide to sell you will be praying spot price doesnt take a big hit on the way to the dealer.
    5) Atkinsons pricing is based on either an AM or PM price fix (I got todays 3 PM price fix at just over £1000oz)
    6) Make sure you keep a good spreadsheet of your stack - makes life a lot easier at selling time.
    7) I know this is  "thesilverforum" but I am so glad I put my money in to gold over silver.  I cant imagine how long it would have taken to sell the equivalent value in silver compared to my gold stack as it would have had to be private sales to make up for any VAT and increased premiums on silver coins/bars.

    My stacking strategy moving forward:
I plan to continue buying gold on the next dip but my approach will change significantly.
    1) I will split funds between a physical stack and a bullionvault account
    2) Physical stack will consist of 100% sovereigns, used as a long term retirement investment.
    3) I will not stray into the semi numi coins for simplicity and easier selling when the time comes.

    4) Bullionvault account will be used for real time buying/selling in relation to spot price movements and will also enable me to play the GSR ratio when possible.

    Summary.
It was a very strange feeling walking into atkinsons this morning with a box holding a few years of hard work and dedication.
The big plus side is that gold stacking has enabled me to save far more money than I ever would have managed if I was just banking fiat.  I will get a real sense of satisfaction when I settle my mortgage 11 years early saving a lot on interest payments and ensuring a safe and secure future for my family.
    OTHERS OPINIONS MAY VARY

Here I have a 1/4ox Maple purchased from atkinsons last year when I started to acquire gold coins for my stack.

Offered at spot (£281.46) + postage of your choosing although I would always recommend special delivery.  Sorry for the second photo gold cons are a pain to photograph from a phone  I can try taking more on request.  Sold at spot as bullion but its better than that.

Glad it ended OK for you, personally I think Atkinsons should have done more here, if you lost the price increase in spot they should have covered that too.  After all that's why you purchase it, the premium you pay is after spot.

Obviously you need to do your own research but if you have space to store you can invest in whiskey by the bottle.  I myself purchased the glenmorangie 25 year when I found out it was being discontinued some years ago and purchased a couple of glenmorangie midwinter dram to put away and several others.  I also purchased hibiki 12 and 17 but I ended up opening them and drinking
You can invest in whiskey without such a large outlay.  With all that said I am a whiskey drinker so the worst that can happen is I drink the whiskey so for me its a risk free investment.
Wine searcher is a good place to check whiskey prices by the bottle.

I intended to grade this but looking through a 30x loupe (I think its 30x) there are little shiny specs where there isn't enough matt.  They are tiny and the coin looks awesome but I want to only have pf/ms70 graded coins and I am unsure if it will get the high grade.
I know what these have been selling for and I will let it go to someone on the forum for £725 inc RMSD

My 2019 Matt BUSOD arrived yesterday. Nice coin, some shiny high areas under 10X magnification. Judge for yourselves on the images below, taken under 7x magnification.  That said it isn't a proof coin and there will always be small imperfections you spot under intense magnification.  I'm happy with the coin but I don't think the Matt finish shows the coin design in the best light, to me it looks flat.
Thats not going to impact on the price though, I think due to the low mintage numbers it will prove popular and elusive, unless they bring another 'interesting' Matt out this year, IMO it will remain a popular, but hard to source must have.

Sure its hard to do but this one shows the best.  Its way more obvious under the loupe.  You can see the specs on the horses legs in this image but they are dotted all over the horse and dragon mainly in the raised areas

I agree with you, which is kind of why this is only just now coming to the forefront of my mind!
I remember getting the coin, thinking it was very pretty and looked good. I popped it on the scales, weight was right and thought no more of it.
It's a good luck thing I popped it on YouTube!
But, as you say you just expect everything to be all OK.

I've just rang them and of course they dont have replacements available.  Basically said I can ring head office on Monday and they will refund it.
I am going to just send for grading and at least learn something from it, as its my first coin I've purchased for grading I will know for next time if I send it off.  If I dont send it I wont know for next time so I think I am going to just have to throw myself in the deep end and learn to swim
