What a fafaroony that was. - I had emailed the RM after my debit card wouldn't work to ensure I didn't get loads of money taken out of my account. - I then managed to successfully place an order with my credit card (we'll call this order 1). - the RM emailed back saying that they had reserved another coin for me (order 2) and that I should ring up to pay for it - I rang up yesterday and was told that only order 2 was showing on their system. The gentleman would make a note on my account to cancel order 2 when my order 1 came through on their systems - I received an email today saying that they had cancelled one of my orders and to ring up to pay for the other one (no mention of which order) - I checked my orders on the RM website to see that both orders were there and that my order 1 had multiplied into 3 sovereigns (a common problem with the order page I understand) - I rang up to discover that they had cancelled Order 1 (the one that I'd successfully paid for with my CC) and that I had to now pay for Order 2. Which I have now done. Phew! Never known it be so hard to give away ~£600... To be fair, the people on the phones were very nice and were as helpful as they could be. The lady on the phone said they were waiting for stock but I should have it in two weeks.

I'm in a similar predicament for 3 orders that failed (didn't even give an error, just kicked me back to the basket page). It only gave me a "thanks for your order" page when I tried using my credit card (my debit card is expiring end of Nov which may have been the problem?). I've let the RM know, but I think as none of the attempted purchases are showing in my orders, that the pending payments will be cancelled. Hopefully anyway!

Finally got it to show up in 'my orders' by using a different card (the other card is valid, so not sure why that wasn't working). Now just to make sure they don't take about 5 payments from me... what a faff.

When I check out, it just kicks me back to my basket with the son still in. I tried this three times. When I've checked my bank it shows three lots of payments pending. No confirmation email. No idea if I've bought three or none...

Think I picked a good day for a flexiday!

Thanks. I was going to buy from BBP, but cheaper on Atkinsons. Also love not having the pay the daft RM delivery charge (£5, even if you're spending hundreds with them. Very poor business decision)

I got one of the silver proofs as I like the design. Hopefully the many 2020 dated ones i bought will be going up in price soon as well

@watchesandwhisky I know most of your money will be going to house savings, but I would make sure you pay into your works pension scheme (don't opt out). Need to get that compound growth working for you asap to have a decent sum in retirement to live off.
