Is this normal? Re: order with bullion company.

That response is shocking. The entire post is full of excuses and non important information a customer quite frankly doesn't give a monkeys about, and is utterly devoid of any empathy, acknowledgement, apology or resolution timescales - just more waiting for the customer. Outside of the military and current employment, I spent many years as a team leader within a major blue chip telecoms company dealing with customer care/resolution on an almost daily basis, and there is no way we would have responded like that. In fact, advisors would have eventually been sacked for behaving in such a manner. Just sayin'. What that very first line should have read is "Please accept our apologies for the delay in fulfilling your order. Your valued custom is very important to us, and we will begin to rectify this situation immediately". It then goes on to read: That above anything else is incredibly belittling to a customer. By posting that "statement" you've basically just accused him of being impatient and wrong in bringing the matter up. Never make your customer feel like the villain. A business that treats it's customers in such a manner, is a bad business with no clue about customer service. Based on this example, I'll not be buying from Chards.

    Gold Short Term Investment?

    Neither. I prefer reality.

Exact weight of 2018 1oz Britannia

New scales received.Used some 5 pence's to test weight as 5p's are 3.25g. Both scales, original and replacement both read 3.25g for the 5 pence piece and both are reporting same weights for Britannia's as already posted. So the Britannia's are clearly slightly over weight in order to conform to "minimum" silver/weight content. All good then.

    Gold Short Term Investment?

59 now, and you want to keep it till your nigh on 69? By then you probably won't be in any fit state to even enjoy it. Let's be honest here, you've got at best another 20-22 years before you get your VIP pass for the pearly gates. Average life span in the UK is roughly 80, so your clock is ticking my friend. Every year that passes is one more year you become weaker and less active. Why waste that time? Enjoy it now. I'm 40, and my stacking will end when I'm 55 tops no matter what, and whatever I've gained in value by that time is getting cashed in and used. Can't take it with you when your dead, so use it when you're alive (and able).

All this war drumming chest thumping malarkey is just a ruse to take peoples eyes off other things that are going on. Since the end of WW2, there hasn't been any real continental based land based conflicts, and that has been for one very simple reason - all the big players on both sides of the political spectrum have lots and lots and lots of great shiney big ass ICBM's that can wipe each other out a hundred times over. That's why since post WW2, wars and casualty rates (with a few exceptions) have become smaller and smaller). Not to mention the past 60 odd years have mainly been some pointless proxy wars against some backward dirt hole, and not an equally matched military power. And those big players love the power they have, and are not bloody stupid enough to risk getting themselves sunburnt at 10,000 degrees. This whole dick measuring saga is designed to keep us in fear, as that makes us easier to control. We get these "war scares" every few years, and they are utter bullshit.

What is going on in the UK ?

When I wae at school, my history teacher was the only person in the school that emphasised to pupils the need to check details and source material. I have always remembered his method for first addressing facts with something he would always say: "How do you start to read a history book?" "From the front page Sir" "Wrong" he would say, "You first go to the back where the ind is to first see what sources they are quoting, and then get those books, then check those indexes" etc etc etc. "Then.....you begin to read". I've viewed those words in how to teach me to read the MSM.

The uranium bit was a ? as I couldn't remember that bit specifically. The other bit ref minerals is 100% fact. I should know, we sometimes had to provide overwatch for contractors to protect certain areas to clear out insurgents. And that wad never pretty.

    Engelhard bar CUT IN HALF

I think there needs to be a third rule to silver stacking: "Don't marry crappy women and steer clear of single mothers, and your fortune will be safe".

What is going on in the UK ?

Simple - billions of dollars of untapped minerals and *uranium deposits (* I think that's the right one). Though that wasn't/isn't really a big secret. On both my tours, our frontline units had that info combined as part of an overall strategic brief when landing at Bastion prior to being chinooked to our forward CP's.

Another "First Rule" of silver stacking - Never tell your wife you stack silver. "Second Rule" of silver stacking - Never tell your wife you stack silver.

Many moons ago I used to work in a pressings factory stamping out tractor panels. Every now and then the stamping die would leave a dull surface on a stamped part and had to be scrap as the spray painting stage would not adhere.

What is going on in the UK ?

Islamic "Terrorism" isn't just about planting bombs or running people over. It's about something much worse. Rotherham. Telford. Newcastle. Sunderland. Oldham. Bradford. Doncaster. Leeds. Muslim Pakistani men represent a minority of the male UK population, yet they now represent the MAJORITY of those convicted for absolutely horrific acts of child grooming and rape. Young girls who all had one thing in common.....they weren't Muslim and as such were viewed as filth. Young white, black and Sikh girls abused, raped, beaten, murdered, branded, tortured and God knows what else. Muslim grooming gangs, allowed to behave the way they do because our feckless cowardly Police and politicians are too afraid of being called "RACIST", have inflicted such horrors upon young girls, that it makes Catholic paedo priests look like fecking SAINTS. This....is true Islamic terror. And leftist bastards do everything they can to shut down ANY attempts to expose it. ................................................................................... Research conducted by a chap called Edward Clines in 2008 highlights some interesting correlations when the Islamic population within a host nation increases. " Below two percent Muslims are well-behaved citizens and cause little apparent trouble for the host society. At two percent and three percent Muslims begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. From five percent on Muslims exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They push for the introduction of halal (“clean” by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves—along with threats for failure to comply (United States, Switzerland, Sweden). At this point, Muslims work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, or Islamic law. (England, Netherlands, Philippines). When Muslims reach 10 percent of the population, they increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions (Paris—car burning). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats (Amsterdam, Denmark—Mohammed cartoons, murder of Theo van Gogh). After reaching 20 percent of a population expect hair-trigger rioting, Jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning (Indonesia, Ethiopia). After 40 percent you find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare (Bosnia, Chad). From 60 percent you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and jizya, the tax placed on [conquered] infidels (Sudan, Albania). After 80 percent, expect to find state-run ethnic cleansing and genocide (Syria, Egypt, UAE)." ........................................................................... Of course, most people are still too afraid to take off their rose tinted glasses........
