Up for sale is this handsome Charles I Thirty Shillings which would make a nice accompaniment to the latest British Monarchs series. Great detail, nice blue toning and a full flan, with a good weight of 14.75g, it’s diameter 36mm £450 inclusive of SD Postage Third Coinage which dates the coin between 1637- 1642 The Engraver is Falconer, his second issue. Edinburgh Mint. Description: Charles I (1625- 1649) Thirty Shillings, Obverse: Sword wielding King Charles I on horseback. 'F' below the horse's hoof, rough ground below. Mint Mark, Thistle at the start of the legend. Reverse: Crowned royal arms. Thistle at the start of the legend.
