Last week's arrival, the Victoria Portrait by the EIC, completed my UK Gothic restrike collection with coins by the RM, the EIC and the Commonwealth Mint. Today I have them for the first time all together and must say, the Commonwealth Mint did the best job overall IMO.

Almost 2500 years of coin minting evolution. The Cook Island's 1 OZ silver Pegasos together with , a Corinthian silver Drachm Pegasos from around 350BC with a portrait of Aphrodite. For sure, that would be my favorite goddess in ancient Greece. If i had the time to watch trees and clouds, i would think about what has been paid with this coin 2000 years ago. 
I'm a fanboy of many CIT Smartminting coins. Crazy accurate strikings and unbelievable reliefs. And this one is a great example of their abilities.

Another little indulgence from Germania mint - Knights of the Past Malta.  In many ways I prefer these to Germaina's gilded and technicolour offerings.  If Malta were to mint Euros with Templars on the reverse I'd be ever so happy.

Fun fact: I had sheep's brains for dinner in Malta once and bought a bottle of prickly pear liqueur.
 

Only been stacking a couple of months and had a memory of my parents giving me a half sovereign when i was a kid, had no idea where it would be.  Been searching for it for a few days now and today i finally managed to find it in some old files... so today i kind of got a freebie and found a coin that I first looked at about 35 years ago.
 

Did mention in a previous post that I would show a comparison of why you buy the coin and not the slab. These 2 1911 proof florin coins are nearly the same grade but the eye appeal imo isn’t even close. It makes you think do we need a CAC equivalent in the UK. Just for the record the toned one is 65+ and the one with a cameo (but not graded cameo) is a 66. 

Season 3 is coming February 2023, so I got some new Mandalorian prey. Great looking Bo Katan proof and a bullion IG-11

2 lovely envelopes today. Firstly another 2 krugs from @Prodigy, and a 2022 sovereign from Atkinsons.

Bullion 2022s, quarter to double. Along with the proof sov, that completes my 2022 pile. I hope the 2023 is stalled for a while so I can afford some!
