mr1030 got a reaction from Griffo in External bridge or not? Sigma Verifier
I only have the original version of the Sigma, not the pro, so my information might not be totally accurate.  The bullion wand does give you a bit more depth, but depending on the dimensions of the bar, even the bullion wand won't be able to scan it entirely.  The best you can do is scan multiple locations on every side of the bar to maximize the chance of finding irregularities if there are any.  I've never used the bridge and don't know it's capabilities, but if you plan on buying multiples of those kilo bars, it might be worth the added expense of the bridge for greater scanning depth.

I look forward to this every year.  I'll donate 2 oz miscellaneous silver (have to see what's available at my dealer), plus a surprise bonus item 🎁.

And the last of the Q3 silver has arrived.  I also got a 1kg copper bar for ***** and giggles.  According to the vendor it's .99999 fine; not sure whether to take that with a grain of salt. Now, the emphasis in silver is off straight bullion and onto collectibles and semi-collectibles such as the dollaridoos.  I may pick up the odd tube of Brits if it happens along at the confluence of price and available cash.
It's starting to look like a stack now.  Q4 is mostly gold, as is 2023

So, most of my Q3 stuff is in - astute observers will notice that there's a missing pile of Krugerrands, and there's also a bit of numismatic stuff still en route.  Perhaps I will take another photo once all the Q3 stuff is in.  It's starting to look like a stack now, though, so -

Q4's plan is a bit more prosaic and longer on gold - a few sovs, a 1/4 oz Tudor lion and maybe a 1oz brit.  Possibly some other bits and bobs of silver in the numismatic space.

After a nice summer in Greece, I had to come back yesterday to Germany. Two good things here, you can threw you're toilet paper into the porcelain god and i could get some of my coins after three months out of the safe deposit. This one here, the 2020 2 OZ COOK Islands Steampunk, is an absolute stunner. Unbelievable strike with lots of well thinked details. Every time I hold this coin, i'm really impressed and could watch it for hours.

    Hi Peeps
Not coin or bullion but thought you may be interested in this
I like to tinker on my cnc when I'm not taking piccies for @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer
I made this over the weekend.
It's 14mm MDF (painted dark navy) set on an oak plinth with an acrylic plate for the cypher.
How it came about - we're striving to get the rotations correct / consistent on the images of coins we take and one way to do this was to draw a silhouette around the monarchs portrait that we can then line up and rotate the image to fit.
So...I started doodling with them late last week and came up with the 1st portrait embedded within the 4th portrait.  It looked quite nice for a mock-up coin that @LawrenceChard liked.  So over the weekend I thought I'd cut it out and see how it turned out.  On these white background shots it's not too apparent that the 1st portrait is actually a cut-out.
Anyway - I decided to donate this to Amazing Graze - a local soup kitchen who do some great work - they're thrilled and are currently auctioning it off.
Just thought some of you may be interested to see it

One last page as above... These, I picked up on my travels. This is how I will remember the Queen - in her younger days...
N.B. I started collecting bank-notes about the same time as gold etc.

Now seems an appropriate time to show the Queens portrait on Bank notes from earlier times. The Bank of England £1 note was the first time the Queens portrait appeared on a note in 1960. Most of the Commonwealth countries and Overseas territories also used differing portraits. My all time favourite is the $1 East Caribbean from 1965 showing the Queen in her late 30s - a superb rendition IMO.  And lastly the Gibraltar £1 note. Of course marketing firms use Gibraltar for their pseudo sovereigns!

This time it's 3 Proof 1oz Britannia's on the Bank of England's 1st £50 note (1981) All 3 seem to have a different shade of 'gold' - 1987, 1997, and 2007. I realise that this is not up for discussion, but clearly the R.M. were experimenting with the alloy of these 22ct coins between that period, which included the addition of silver. However the 1987 uses red gold (all copper) Thankfully, the Brits went to 9999 later. It's a pity the RM didn't use the alloy from the 1997 or the 2007 for the Sovereign!  NB The reverse of the Note shows Sir Christopher Wren & St Pauls Cathedral by the way

    Britannia & 3 dragons
Once again Bank of England's 1st £5 note 1957, this time with a 1982 Proof Quintuplet, and Double Sovereign G&D. The dragon on the note seems larger and more fearsome to me!

I decided to buy my first coin last Thursday after joining the forum. Started with a 1/4oz Britannia and decided I would only get myself one a month and not be silly.
Five days later I now have a 1oz Britannia, 1oz TB Yule of Beaufort, 1/4oz TB Lion of England, a 2022 double sovereign and three sovereigns. There's also a 1oz TB Lion due tomorrow and a 5 sovereign BU on back order with RM.
    You're all bad influences 😁
