Nothing. Everyone needs to chill the hell out. Hysterics are being whipped up by those who don’t want us to leave. Open your eyes and watch the hysteria on the news. You are being told to be scared. Choose not to be.

i have been involved with Kleiner trying to sort this out. This has gone to arbitration. So the wheels are in motion. As i have posted already b/c of the English terms as they were at the time of ordering Kleiner had the right to cancel. There was no compensation due to GS. Withholding both his money and coins is now illegal but he will have to wait for arbitration. Hopefully it can be settled there and if not it goes to court.

If as bumble says, rates can't go lower then there isn't a lot of future in the 'debt makes you wealthy' philosophy of buying houses to rent. Buy to let will become a model based on yield only and carries the same risks as before but without the capital gain to cover, lower reward for the same risks. As the cost of servicing debt rises, the burden will increase and errode what is left of the margin in rent, because as much as people think you can just put the rents up, those are capped as well by several factors including wages and government housing benefit. It is still a viable option today, but it is going to be a slow way to build wealth because of the leverage, where as in a falling rate environment it was the leverage that was responsible for the gain. In a rising rate environment it could get pretty rough. This model is also heavily reliant on current policy and government hand outs such as housing benefit continuing, these act as a floor on rent, a minimum level and if removed would lead to lower rents. Housing benefit is one the highest costs of government social security so it's not going up any time soon, if anything with our national debt mountain with rising rates, it will have to be cut along with everything else.

yes sure. But this is a cash sale, i do appeciate the interest, and I'm sorry its probably only viable for a tiny tiny number of people who visit this forum who might like to purchase. And lots of people who wouldn't but have enjoyed commenting! It will sell to someone relatively local in time. I'm grateful that forums like this exist. Collectively, you've a good bunch with a good sense of humour!

easy tiger! you're not dealing with a sophisticated metals trader here! I bought a bit of bullion from a shop, price has gone up, now I want to sell it. And the incentive for someone who was interested in picking some up is they could buy it from me cheaper than they could from the manufacturer. apologies if ignorance triggers alarm bells!

I actually want to add to that. Most people don't understand the psychology of buying and selling. There will be situations where you are a price taker and situations where you are a price giver. You want to be the latter when you come to sell. There are many methods you can use, I won't go into it too much because one day Ill put it into a book and sell my knowledge (thats what everyone else seems to do). I will give a scenario though, if you own high end coins if you go to an auction you are a price taker and its luck of the draw. If you have the network and you know your friends and other collectors you can become a price giver. People do business with their friends and as long as the price is fair you can dictate more, by doing this you make money by your knowledge and your skill set. Ill offer another example, if you have just pure bullion you are a price taker, there will be a market equilibrium (thats changes everyday) and you want to make sure you are under the curve when buying so that there is room to sell and make money. The higher your skill level the more potential money you can make.
