I hope every single person who laughed at this reported it also. To us, yes it ridiculous but to a lot of people its not. Its not funny, it fraudulent and preys and those who are one or two steps outside of our circle… parents, aunties, uncles, grandparents etc

Bought today from a local coin dealer, a nice Mahogany Peter Nichols ‘Mascle’ Coin Cabinet.
A lovely way in which to enjoy those special coin sets.  Let that nice Cabinet toning (and Cabinet friction) begin 😂👍 😃

This time it was the beautiful 2018 Gold Standard! It gets to keep my 2019 & 2020 Gold Standard company in the stack 😁
I also picked 5 of the T22 ringed airtites which make the quarter ouncers absolutely pop!

My favourite pick ups of all time. 1/10oz pure 9999 gold animals. Should have been a set of 12 (zodiac) but three were damaged beyond recovery so a set of 9. Stunning pieces.

    Good morning all.
My quote was unfair and derogatory. Apologies for that.
I have come to the realization that I have to many personal conflicts of interest and am going to take a step back from the chat on this forum. I came here to take time out and to share the enjoyment of precious metals. Full disclosure here that us, as a family are receivers of benefits, ironically we probably do not need them. My wife starts work at 8 and finishes at 5, I had to take a night roll from 10pm to 6am. We had to do this to cover the constant hospital visits for my son. We are both professionals, we can read, write, have skills and we have a medium size TV but no ps5 (would love one but not enough time). Because of the situation I am now in, I find myself feeling like a protector of the vulnerable. Unfortunately this doesn't bode well on the majority of the forum chat and I probably need to work on my delivery. Ironically in a previous life I was the man sitting there laughing at the undatables and I did have hard line political views but I had to learn very quickly to not find my only enjoyment being critical of others. This is a personal journey and do not wish to be in constant conflict with the general consensus.
    Cheers

If it did nothing else other than raise awareness in especially the young about the importance of holding hard physical assets with no counter party risk then it can be called a success.  the young have been conditioned to give value to digital products, just as one example their gaming is all about skins and weapons packs and digital download purchases and the games themselves are now held in a cloud library rather than physically sitting on their shelf in their own posession so if that cloud goes so does all their purchases.  The thing with you will own nothing and be happy is if you are doing nothing but renting stuff you must be renting from someone who does own it.

BBP has got loads of 2018 dog privy Brittanias in (1000+ yesterday) for £35 Inc VAT. I'm guessing the market for them being 'rare has gone as they have so many but if anybody needs one to complete a run without paying silly money for them they're available 👍

There is a reason why people always back to gold after fiat currency rant. I am simple man, I see them print like crazy, I buy more PM. Question is not, If it end up in mess, question is when. Situation right now look like pure madness. They "struggle" to get inflation of 2% but my shopping basket went up ~15%. No point of holding cash now IMHO.

I think we gold bugs often overlook a very important social point. I can only speak for the UK here by the way.
But I don't think most people think of gold as money. People know gold has value but it's generally viewed as simply jewellery, and a couple of old coins etc. I suspect many people are quite happy to liquidate it for what they consider 'real money' (fiat currency - ironically).
Bitcoin does something else, kind of like stocks/shares or a bank account of sorts. I guess people think of it as an investment vehicle, a quick shot to turn a profit, kind of like gambling/playing the lottery, money in the bank. I just think as a model it fits into what people expect of money in the modern world.
Perhaps the Keynesians have just been very successful at removing gold from its recognised role as real money, in the eyes of the majority of the population. They've clearly failed with us of course, but what percentage of the population think like we do, or can see gold for what it truly is?
This is of course is a cultural thing. Go to India and the situation is very, very different of course. Gold is and always has been valued.

New add to my growing collection. Unfortunately, the roosters came from Europe and I had to pay bloody VAT for them. Hopefully will be able to reclaim the VAT back. Also, my first silver coins here which are so much bigger than their gold equivalent.
