  1. My account manger told me that my orders would be ready for dispatching on the 25th of march (2oz and 5oz). Fingers crossed
  2. Only one 5oz sold on Ebay at a best offer (sold at 700£, I asked to the seller )
  3. I ordered the 2oz and 5 oz silver only. I don't know if this will be a winner or a flop but this gamble was reasonnable for me and the 5 oz will be probably stunning in hand (hopefully the RM has solved the technical issues of the Petition Crown I skipped the last PC gold and this one too, but I reconfort myself being the happy owner of the whole W.Wyon GE series in 2oz gold
  4. Hello, I have this Quintuple Platinum Jubilee for sale with Box&COA . PM me if interested
  5. Krugerrands can be collectible coins. In 1980, when the SAM launched the fractional Krugerand, they released for this occasion a special "VIP" set of fractional proof coins (1/10th, 1/4 and 1/2oz in proof ) with a tiny mintage of only 60 coins for each size, I have been lucky to get the 1/10 and even 2 * 1/4oz fractional gold proof for a reasonable price and I am still hunting the 1/2oz proof. I am curious to know what would be the market price of such set. I don't have a recent price for the whole set, the last auction price was 9775$ I have is from an Heritage Auction in 2007 (spot around 700$)
  6. Beautiful coins. I have discovered the Spanish coins and got the Lynx, the Bull in 1/10 oz, and also ordered the Horse in 1oz. If I am able to find a good deal for the Lynx in 1oz, I'll grab it too. The elephant is also gorgeous...I am considering the 1/10oz as a very liquid investment and even with higher premium, this is not a problem as I get it back when selling, even to some dealers who pay a premium for these coins. If the spot will rise (and I think it will), the 1/10oz and the 1/4oz sizes will be the sweet spot and could become very sought after
  7. With all these releases in the last 9 months (Jubilee range, Jubilee Sovereign , Pattern, SOTDs, Memorial, £5, Piedfort, Coronation Range, Coronation Sovereigns...) , this is like an endless race with FOMO and wallets are really put to the test and leads (at least for me) to some collector fatigue. Difficult choices today between enjoying life, taking some rest with its little pleasures and greed that pushes us to buy these highly priced coins with FOMO which will finally go in a safety box for years 🙄 The high mintages won't help in the short term. But the Coronation Sovereign will certainly be History and really sought after in the years to come... (as the 1989s) But I probably need to take some breath ! Is it a shared feeling ?
  8. Unfortunately no, my guess is maybe in the first two weeks of june
  9. Here are some informations about the coming Proof Coronation Sovereign mintages (not an official source, to be confirmed ! ) 5 coin set : 1080 4 coins set : no information (probably RM exclusive) 3 coins set 1250 £5 Sovereign (matte ?) : 650 Sovereign 19805 Half Sovereign 5405 Quarter Sovereign 4655 Piedfort Sovereign 1260 Prices would be probably in the range of the Memorial Sovereigns range
  10. An auctioned PGCS PR70 Sovereign 1989 has been sold yesterday (Coin Cabinet) for £2400, and a NGC PF69 for £1550, add the 6% + VAT fees on top of these prices
  11. I 'd keep it Paul...it seems that this SOTD will not be replaced if you return it, so at these market price levels, your coin is way more valuable than £850 RRP.... I understand your frustration, but this is still a beautiful coin, even with this small flaw, and I imagine a lot of collectors who missed it and who would be happy to get yours.
  12. The question is not how high gold can go, but how low the money can go...I would say the value of a paper sheet,...and I think that toilet paper would even be more expensive and useful in that case
  13. Definitely...what would be this world with silver at 300$ or gold at 10000 or 50000$.... probably chaos with total collapse of money, of economy that would lead to poverty, violence and wars. People imagine that they would live quietly and securely in their bunker of silver and gold and keep their standard of living as nothing had happened. ..So be careful what you wish for. Some PM coins would help you a little bit in some circumstances but gold and silver would only make sens when the collapse is over and useful to rebuild a new world
  14. Gorgeous indeed and regrets for me as I had to reasonably renounce to it today...I have at least you beautiful photos Paul, thank you .I'll try to keep some "powder dry" for the coming proof Coronation Sovereign
  15. Definitely. The SOTD (for such significant historical events) is part of the historical lineage, recognized for centuries, and without a doubt, it's a safe bet for any collectors. On the opposite, betting on the potential future value of "stand alone" commemorative coins, aside from their beautiful design, is way more risky, especially in a bullish gold price environment that is conducive to buying bullion close to the spot price.
  16. Thanks Paul, I am eagerly waiting your photos. I have not taken a decision about it as it means again high financial involvment and sacrifices. My AM being not at office until friday, I have some time to think about it, unless he was not able to keep it for me 🙄, Anyway, If I don't have it at the end, I am happy as I have been lucky to secure a more reasonnable SOTD on tuesday (incredible as I was in the 40000s in the queue...a payment done without a glitch has probably done it for me
  17. My AM has proposed this coin, but are you sure it is a reverse proof (my AM told me it was fully frosted (Reverse and Obverse)
  18. For me the "must have" once in a life time specials SOTD Sovereigns are the 2017 200th anniversary Sovereign (next one in 100 years ?) the 2022 Platinium Jubilee (we have not seen and will not see for a long time a new Platinium Jubilee) and without doubt, this 2023 KCIII Coronation Sovereign
  19. I have a buyer remorse for a SOTD 2021 so ok, deal at £750 😀
  20. Unless you are lucky, you will not get it now at launch price (it was around US$100/110). US$190 does not worth if you consider this purchase as an investment and I am not sure it will grow up in value in the futur. But if you like it, it really worths it because this is a beautiful coin and one of my favorites. I can say that I have sold many collection coins, but I never thought to sell this one...and I would say that the investment is also in the pleasure you have admiring it. As far as you buy bullion coins, close to spot, in a rational investment perspective, this is also nice to have some joy with nice coins that you like I have seen this coin on ebay at us$188 (in US) with offers possible, so you can try your luck to get it a little bit cheaper
