Bit the bullet, paid the Sheriff of Nottingham his 20% tax, and ordered expecting in a day or so.
I did contemplate pre-ordering from Chards to save a few pounds only, but as they were in stock at the RM I am guaranteed to have it in hand very shortly.

I like to store my own PM's for the usual variety of reasons, as I suspect most everyone here does, with their own methods of security.
Additionally, the whole Kinesis money / silver debate is thereby irrelevant to me, as I only put my other investment monies into FCA approved firms, and similarly endeavour not to exceed the £85k FCA guarantee. 
 

i watched the way he put the bar down on the pallet. He was being careful not to trap his fingers. The bar was clearly heavy.
These bars vary in weight - a lot more than is generally realised - a bar can weigh as light as 750 ounces. 
I think he is lifting a heavy bar but not a full 1000 oz bar. i have lifted 2 monster boxes at the same time, it was lifting off the ground but i really knew i had them. i suspect they have picked out a low weight bar and put it there for him. They couldn't risk he would drop it and bust his toe or do his back in.

RM coins are generally legal tender coins and do not attract CGT so no you won't pay that tax if you flip or hold. However if you earn an income from doing this then it would be liable to Income tax etc.as any income would. What do we mean by "flipping"? if I bought something today which I believed as would go up in value and sell in a years time... that's still "flipping". Its funny because I have seen many posts about flippers by people who say "It stops true collectors from getting them..." then see a post a few days later when they are selling coins :-). 

The trouble is, everyone knows too much nowadays. They know all about economics, the banking system, the welfare state, credit lines, Robin Hood, wallstreetbets et al. when all they need to know is how to have fun.
Look, work for 40 hrs a week, go bingo or darts on a Wednesday and have a couple of pints on a Friday.
Take the kids swimming or the park on a Saturday and have a family lunch followed by football on a Sunday.
Repeat.
Put a little bit away each week and go to Butlins, or Benidorm if you're a manager, in the summer. Maybe hire a caravan in Hunstanton or Newquay, or Whitby if you're from those parts.
Join the Christmas Club in September. 
Why does everything have to be so bloody complicated?!

Public services without any public funding from taxation?  Private roads, private police, private fire brigade, private refuse collection?  Schools, health, army all run as a business?  Does not sound like much fun, and nothing ecomomically sound about that. 
There's nothing "Keynesian" about having taxes and public expenditure, been going on forever.  This term seems thrown around as an insult without understanding what it is.  Certainly isnt what we have today, Keynes advocated paying back all the debt in short order after the economic stimulus had taken effect.

Surely the best way to judge demand for a coin is to let the public see the design beforehand. I'm not sure how a dealer can estimate the potential demand without showing the design to their customers and recording their opinions ..
I believe the RM keep designs secret until the day of release in the hope of a buying frenzy from people who otherwise would not bother, given time to scrutinise the coin.
 

IMO: People stack silver due to the pumpers telling them they can become rich. I find on the forum people start stacking silver and after some time realise their losses and change to stacking gold.
I think normal people thinking silver can go to $100 or whatever the made up number is gives them a bit of hope. However, none of these people offer sound financial advice and when people lose the pumpers are not held accountable. 

Any investment that you start in the hole at -20% and then even further minus due to premium should be a red flag for most.

A little more information on the Platinum Jubilee sovereign and a little update on the Great Engravers coin.
The release date is in November - The design is based on my new updated concept image, slightly reworked by Timothy Noad. I am not aware of any change to the obverse portrait. These images are as close as I can post and come from the 2008 pound coin.
(I have heard Great Engravers now due early December)

I think this is just all social media now days where no one is allowed there own opinion with out getting jumped on by people feeling brave behind there phones. It's very sad really and I distance myself from social media now days

Im so fed up with this I sold all my gold stocks today!!
I have literally had enough now & think there are better avenues to invest.
I have more than enough physical to weather me in a storm.
