Yes I agree on that point. How long you were waiting for some silver releases and how long some others were also waiting was a complete joke. As long as they turn up January I  will be happy but if I was waiting 6 months I would also cancel. Did you get any discount offered or anything for the wait?

I think the good part is the RM taking it off your CC right away now and it not dropping off. So they either need to pay it off in a month or wait till they arrive to try flip but will have paid some interest which will eat into profits.
 

cancelled my sovereign this morning mainly due to going to crazy on the day 😂
plus with xmas and the longer postage times,and higher costs per item.

I would say at 17/18k for a raw set is about market - rather than a bargain (13/14k would be a bargain :)). Good buy for the long run, or if you get lucky and the 5 sov comes back a 70.
The prices you quoted are mostly lifted up by the 5 sov in PF70. And we all know the mark up on PF70 coins in our game. In PF69, the 5 sov is closer to 5/6k, rather than 14/15k in PF70. So big difference.
And there is a known flaw with the 5 sov, I know of 2 that got a 69 for the same flaw.
Either way I still think it’s a great set!

The higher price might be to cover fthe cost of postage when you return the coins due to poor QC😃

If you like it, buy it and enjoy it. If you don't like it, save your pennies and spend them on something else. Simple really. 
Individual opinions matter not at this stage and only time will tell whether this design is a flop or not. I personally think its the best design I've seen so far and am quite happy to spend some of my savings on 5 coin set. 

More like 23.4% commision. Not sure why anyone pay extra to bid through Salesroom, but if you are the seller you got £750. The attraction of an auction house and the excitement of bidding all need paying for.

Its both. Had they kept the minatage the same as for the Platinum Jubliee it would have sold out now.

Yeah, such extreme mintages. Has there ever been a time when the 5 set had such a huge increase? From only 700 sets for the 2022 Jubilee 5 coin set, to 1200 for this sovereign. 
A 71% increase in mintage, not sure why people are expecting the £5 sovereign to do well?

If it sells 12 sovereigns a day it will be almost a year before it sells out, that is if it can maintain the same level of interest. Until all sovereigns are sold its almost impossible to expect prices go up signficantly for any of these.

Just don't pay them for a few months, you'll usually find they suddenly have time to speak to you, and will even call you themselves. 😂

Hard to really make a preference as they're both very different but I think I like the less fussy background of the jubilee. The lion looks amazing in the memorial one though.

I could maybe understand them imposing household limits if there was huge demand, but seeing as they are struggling to shift the last 25% of stock, seems a bit pointless.
