is a useful tool for looking back into the past and what stuff was listed
Off the top of my head even when silver spot plunged and continued to do so, the price at the dealers reminded more or less the same.  The dealer spread simply increased against spot.
Even spot did one things, the local dealers I used still had no problem shifting product at the same price prior to the semi crash in price.
There was no shortage of buyers and also there was always stock to be bought 

But... That's brilliant! You've found a system for resisting impulse purchases... Unrelated I may have just picked up another half sovereign

1986-W Statue of Liberty and 1987-W Constitution $5 Commems, and a 1927 Netherlands 10 Guilders.  Got each for $5 over spot.  The $5 commems were a pleasant surprise as they were advertised as just random dates in capsules only.  Guess they ran out and sent me graded ones instead.

Update on my Chards order, they rang me this afternoon saying the site had not been updated and the Churchill medals are no longer available.
Should have stuck to Hatton garden metals lol.

A bit of a long winded one with a bargain at the end.
I spotted a "Centenary of Winston Churchill - This Was Their Finest Hour" Gold 2 X Medallion Set by Christopher Ironside on ebay @ £570

Coin details : 1 X 17.5g + 1 X 3.5g made from 900 gold (stamped on the coins too) so fine weight = 18.9g, however as they are produced outside the UK they are listed as 18ct.
After a little searching for a price check I notice Chards had a 2 coin set and a 3 coin set listed as 18ct.
So basically got the the two sets with a fine weight of 2.66oz for a total of £1.72 over spot for the lot

Received today from HGM. Not bad for bullion coins.

Just 1/4oz gold unicorn.

Before I buy any coins I always compare HGM and Atkinsons prices as 90% of the time the lowest.
I decided to buy a one ounce Queen's Beast but was somewhat surprised to see the Royal Mint being much cheaper than Atkinsons for a Griffin.
I paid £983.03 with free delivery and the coin comes in a capsule from the RM.
Has Atkinson's mis-priced or is the Griffin price rising following it's predecessor the Lion I wonder, in which case the RM price is a bargain.

My cheap Phillies arrived that I won on eBay. I was the only bidder and the pictures were blurred but I didn't realise they were milk spotted. There wasn't any mention of them having milk spots either but I'm not too bothered as they are only bullion and have cleaned up easily.
i used to hate getting milk spotted coins but if I get them cheap enough and they clean up easily, then I'm happy

Another small lot of 50% silver 3d arrived in the post this morning, this time slightly earlier dates and all George V.

After a long day at work, its nice to come home to the one's I love...the Silver Variety that is.   Here we have a nice set of Birmingham 1922 Rat Tail teaspoons/coffee spoons made by Docker & Burn in fab condition,  a 1892 Zar South Africa 2 1/2 Shillings Coin and another 1922 Peace Dollar for the stack.  All bought for a low price from same seller on eBay who also combined postage, fantastic deal late on Sunday night, unloved by other bidders, their loss my gain.

 As well as a Valentines gift for the other one I love, with thanks to @SilverStan  who beautifully crafted this Silver Heart which is destined for my wife to hopefully keep things sweet and enable my new found love affair to continue!
