I would be very sad not to have such pieces in my collection. The Komsco from South Korea is definitely one of my favourites. Greetings from Maxe.

Stu reacted to ZigZag in Do I have fake sovereigns...?
Just an aside, the reason I opted for the Sigma Pro version, was the ability to test the smaller coins, without using the wand. It’s ideal for sovereign’s, which is the bulk of my higher value stuff.

Gifted some silver to my mother and aunt. I actually made these myself, first time making jewellery. Have been meaning to make a post about them and the process.
This is a rose leaf pressed in to make an imprint.
This one is some Thyme.

Received a group of NGC graded coins from @GoldDiggerDave , thanks mate for sourcing and grading these. Great results!!
A lot of Charles III coins including a couple the 2023 Coronation set (missing the £2 Coronation which is with NGC), the Coronation £5 BU (450 mintage) and 2022 Memorial £5 BU (1,000 mintage).
Also the very lovely Coronation silver crown.

As said, he should have got a finders fee minimum. Hardly encourages a person to do the ‘right’ thing.

Stu got a reaction from pmbug in Costco selling PAMP bars, possibly below spot sometimes
There is 20% added sales tax over here so not so much of a bargain.
They could perhaps sell a chocolate cake for £400 each with a free tube of smarties, I mean Britannias thrown in. (Smarties are similar to M&M’s)

I want to become a better person. I am going to take the cotton wool out of my ears and stuff it into my mouth, for a refreshing change.
Need to listen more and speak less.
My brain needs a training course about control and balance.
My body needs to be looked after in a better way than I have done in the past.
Would also like to learn how to Love my wife more, now that we have been together for 52 years, England and Scotland in beautiful harmony together. Bliss.

Thanks to @Weirdfish9for this gorgeous QB 10oz Bull 😎
I’ve completed my 1oz gold QB collection and my 2oz silver QB collection a while back. I’ve been slowly picking up the 10oz QB coins to complete. It’s on the back burner but I’m getting there.
I really want to put them all on display on one of those capsule stands sitting side by side all in a row. Would look epic. 👌🏼
Also recently picked up a beautiful 10oz kookaburra 30th anniversary silver coin. Love this design. 10oz coins are super underrated IMO!

I would say spend time visiting well established coin fairs, handle the coins, and ask the dealers questions- importantly, find an era/ period/ monarch you’re interested in and do some research. Also join some Facebook groups where you’ll pick up some good information.
There’s some fabulous books available that’ll give you lots of reading/ overview, I would recommend this Spink book- it won’t break the bank either, there is also a Decimal volume.
Spink, Coins of England Pre- Decimal Issues, is in my opinion, a must have- this will provide you a good overview of each period from Celtic Coinage up until Elizabeth II Pre- Decimal. The 2024 Edition will be released soon.
Once you find a period you’re interested in- then get geeky!

Stu reacted to Auronum in GOLD DEALS - (UK & Europe) See a deal, post it here
I have started to take a closer view of industry rates to ensure Auronum's website prices are as competitive as possible. From feedback I have seen on the forums Tavex and Chards seem to be the companies with the most competitive prices, so I used them to benchmark the most popular gold and silver bullion products.
I was a little surprised to see that Auronum has better buyback and selling rates across the board on these popular products. Maybe we should do a price guarantee that we will update our prices if we are not the most competitive against the established dealers, what do you guys think?
Prices on the attached screenshot correct as of 21:10 11th December 2023
