It could be £27 next week mate, and £30 in less than a month....
If Master Gold keeps dragging out his ugly sister to play, eventually she's gonna snap, and go stratospheric.  It always happens.
Looking back at the 2010/11 rise in Silver, Silver added 80% in four months over the autumn of 2010.  It had a short breather for January and added 80% again in only three months in the early part of 2011.  Yup... 80% low to high, TWICE!!!  Not saying it's going to happen again, but if they don't get Gold under control soon, eventually the pressure will just be too much for Silver.
Blue boxes not over the dates where the rises occurred, only so that the price action remains visible.  But the rise data in the box is correct, as is the percentage advance.
First bump after long period of range trading and itching to break out in 2010... Four months, end of August to end of December, £9/oz increase, representing 80% advance in price.

One month off for January and a small decline, followed by the second bump... Feb Mar Apr of 2011.  £13.45 increase this time, again representing an 80% advance in price.  It's impressively symmetrical for a percentage price advance in both waves, taking the price from approx £11.30 all the way to £30.  Obviously it was followed shortly by catastrophe and a significant grinding decline.  But it shows people new to Silver exactly what Silver is capable of every few years.

But a word of warning before anyone gets too excited about the next coming of Silver Jesus...  If they manage to tamp Gold back down any time soon (which I think they'll try), Silver could easily turn tail and head straight back down to the 20 handle, in just a couple of savage trading days.  And it could even break deeply into the old trading range again, ruining many small specs.  I can honestly see them testing that range hard, raping every long trading stop which must exist just inside it. They absolutely love bending the small specs over, and they have enough ammo to do it.  We saw back in December that they had enough to even play Gold in the after market hours one Sunday night... and the Silver market is tiny by comparison.
Anyway, interesting to idly contemplate the next big Silver explosion, no idea if it will happen this year or not, but it will probably catch me off guard when it does.

Psychologically, it must be a difficult time to enter the market.
The forum began in 2014 and folk getting onboard then saw the 2011 highs and thought PMs were a bargain! Gold had fallen from £1100 to £700 and silver from £28 to £10.
It was comforting to know that the price of gold and silver had been higher before, which is not the case today.
Entering the market, and being confident in my decisions led me to (to use a BYB phrase), 'front load' my PM investment. It paid off, fortunately, but could quite easily had gone the other way.
It really has been a super hedge.
I'm still buying, not as aggressively of course, and I encourage others to keep up because the value of all fiat currencies are only, and can only, go one way.

Started seriously stacking/collecting gold just over 3 years ago and breached the 1KG level late last year. The forum has been a massive part of this journey, @ChrisSilver I thank you for creating the community and the work you put in daily to cultivating a thriving environment, long may it continue. Started with silver, then moved onto bullion gold and proof coins thereafter. There's also a bunch of others to thank for the help, guidance, advice, encouragement and inspiration to make it to this point (I'm sure I've left out a load of other peeps):

With the lovely weather of the bank holiday weekend I felt like sharing my collection so here it is. I took a load of pretty pics before putting everything back in lock up. I think I've accumulated a decent collection. I have a few outliers that I'll most probably sell on the forum at some point which are not part of below so keep a look out. I also may part with the bullion Britannia set (feel free to drop me a message if you're interested).
What next? I feel I have enough from an investment portfolio for now but I may start to pick up a few key older sovs, we'll see. Let me know what you think and thanks to you all again:

Latest 2024 gold proof Brits. This year's design is a lot nicer than last year's carbuncle where Britannia resembled an old hag. Couple of coins were still in their capsules when I took the photos (the foam inserts are a nuisance). I'll have these graded by Dave soon.

I will have access to this coin just before Easter when I am back in London.  Lock in the price for only £25 deposit.  Gold goes up, you in the money, gold goes down and you are down a bit. You will still have 1oz of gold if you decided to complete, if not you lose your deposit.  If you are not planning on selling than what does it matter.

Today I have available 2 lovely bullion Viente peso re strikes
I already have all the viente pesos I wanted to grade graded so these 2 can now find a new home
They are both in nice condition for an old coin but are bullion. The similar 1959 I have graded is ms 63 so if someone did grade these I'd expect 60/63 in grade (but I'm no expert)
They are lovely in their black ringed capsules though so personally wouldn't grade them
