  1. Thanks
ChrisF got a reaction from PapaLazarou in The future of silver, VAT and import charges into the UK now a Deal has been done!?
    I found this:
Question 7: You can’t always assume that customers will receive their goods by the expected date. What happens if goods are in transit on 1 January 2020?
Answer: Any EU-UK supplies made on or before 31 December will be treated as intra-EU supplies until 31 March 2021. Consequently, they will follow the current intra-EU supplies VAT and duty treatment. However, it is possible that some goods may be stopped at Customs until the supplier is able to demonstrate that the despatch of the goods took place before 1 January 2021.

I dont think there is any real use for the GSR. They are 2 different assets and not very closely correlated.
Over a long time horizon gold has been (and I think will continue to be) a better investment. Demand from central banks is only increasing for gold. Silver has not really increased over the last 100 years- but it's had periods of rapid growth followed by retractions. If you are a 'day trader' type then speculate on silver. If you are planning for your retirement then stack gold.
Personally, I couldn't put my life (or a lot of my money) on silver being worth more when I retire in 30-40 years than it is now, but I'd be confident in making that bet for gold.

I have set a price for selling my bullion silver. If dealers will pay that price I will sell. Yes, I will be able to sell for higher on that-bay, still you have to put in the time and effort, add that up and it can come in at under min wage.

Pitty, its your choice and it was a handy tool to look at but I'll just check sites manually.  Good luck though.
