  1. The thing that annoys me is that despite having direct contact with the mint Press office they are not going to put any formal communication out via their newsletter or on the product listings to say that the series is paused. All they will tell me is that it is under review and when a decision is made they will communicate it.
  2. Really? I chose 6 companies that I have personally bought from. I chose only 6 because I didnt want to sit there for days colating the data. This is not a definitive list, deal with it.
  3. I mean, honestly. This is just so bloody bad. These coins you can literally buy by the kilo. They need 100 for this collection. They couldn't find a better picture?
  4. I went through the spink guide too, best total I can come up with is about £135 and that's for "fine" prices (spink doesn't give prices for lower than fine). Most of these coins conditions are described as "circulating"
  5. Best Bullion Deals in the UK: Price Comparison of Top Dealers in 2024!
  6. 9 of these in a row would be freaking awesome for this!
  7. You flat out accused me of bias....how else was it meant to be interpreted? Whatever, watch the video later today at 5pm and then pass all the judgement you like.
  8. You would think so...but I was just called out on this marvelous forum by someone because they think I did this to bias Atkinsons...
  9. I have never heard of UK bullion. I will include them next time. When/if you watch my video later you will understand why I used these 6 companies. But, shouting at somone on the internet is the best course of action of course.
  10. This has nothing to do with this video. They sponsored me for one video....ask them, its only one sponsored slot so far! Why so agressive?
  11. Interesting price comparison for dealers Royal Mint really not coming off well at all!
  12. Did a little price comparison this morning, these are my findnings based off £1800 spot price
  13. THE FOLLOWING IS NOT FORMAL TAX ADVICE, but my own interpretation of the rules. Thats assuming you make that much profit per bar. Its the profit on the capital not the total value that makes a difference. If you bought 100x 1g bars at £55 each and sold them all for £65 each you make £1000 profit and do not have to even declare the gain as it is below the threshold. If you had 100x 1g bars bought for £35 a few years ago and sold them for £75 each then that would be a £4000 gain. You would need to declare it and you would pay tax on the £1000 above the allowance.
  14. WOW The Royal Mint don't learn. They are really taking the biscuit with this set https://www.royalmint.com/shop/coin-sets/Britannia-Through-the-Ages-Nine-Coin-Set/ £750!!! I have *very gernerously* totted up the consituant parts and have come to a total of £120 Shocking.
  15. If anyone wants some context, have a read through this thread.
  16. @LawrenceChard was around when the Oxford Mint was making coins in the 1600's wasn't he? Hell, he was probably there talking to them about free postage in 871AD
