  1. I mean, at this point any video I make will have the following response from The Royal Mint: They don't care. They want as much as they can before the gravy train truely ends.
  2. The Royal Mail "Lost" or "Stole" (They don't Know) My Silver | This is My Story & What Happened...
  3. @ChrisSilver You can take down the annoucment about the missing items now 🙂
  4. All present and accounted for. No damage, despite the jingle jangle of the package things were at least not rolling around completely loose. Got this letter from them in the package too. Joke.
  5. 100% mate I have a phone call at 10.30 so I am dying to get it open but dont have enough time to film right now! Let me tell you though, its making some very jingley jangly noises. The Edinburgh Assay Office are very good at packaging my stuff and as it has been confirmed as opened by the Royal Mail you can bet your bottom dollar that they will be reciving a claim for ANY damage to ANY of the pieces I have made.
  6. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/consumer-affairs/royal-mail-eight-years-deliver-sons-birthday-card-old-stamp/
  7. I use the phrase "total bollocks" and "Thieving b******s" in my video, I don't think this will be good publicity for them.
  8. Well, considering all I have for all the stress and annoyance is a £50 goodwill payment I think I need to reimburse myself with some additional ad-revenue by talking about how silly the Royal Mail actually are.
  9. You can bet your bottom dollar this is being videoed when opened and if anything is missing they will be in deep do do. Imagine challenging the Edinburgh Assay Office on the contents of the package. Literally the most secure chain of custody I can think of in the "normal" world outside of law enforcement...
  10. I have been told there is a special room where parcels go in, but miraculously dont ever come out. At least in one piece anyway. https://www.thesun.co.uk/money/15859526/royal-mail-missing-parcels-sold-at-auction/
  11. Well, I am not going to get over excited until I have the package and have opened it. I would not put it past someone to have engaged in some foul play here. Been reliably informed by someone that has a source within the dangerous goods centre that items like this go missing all the time.
  12. You can't make this up... I will hold any excitement until it's in my possession and contents have been checked. Good news I suppose!
  13. Oh, I totally agree. The Royal Mint are opportunistic money grabbers I honestly think they didnt know about this glitch and are only just now figuring out that they gave away £100,000's in lost revenue to silver forum members 🙂
  14. Yeah, mine is similar - basket total and then total below.
  15. I mean, they don't have a clue about what they are doing quite frankly. I also don't know enough about consumer rights to know if this is legal for them to ask for the difference. If they are doing this then surely 100's emails will be coming out to Silver Forum members, I think we hoovered up nearly 1000 of these bars collectively!
  16. I have thought about challenging them with a complaint to the Postal Review Panel or indeed the postal redress service. The difficulty is that The Royal Mail (and they know this) have done everything by the book. They have paid the appropriate amount and they have also added a goodwill payment. That ticks all the boxes that they could possibly need to to avoid legal scrutiny. The "right" thing to do and doing what is expecetd of them are two very different things.
  17. Yeah, I mean if you factor that in then its a lot more. They won't entertain any additional claims, they have made that quite clear.
  18. Royal mail response captain subtext: Got to claw back my losses somehow. I choose YouTube Ad Revenue. Bring it on.
  19. I have just had confirmation that I will be getting a £2500 payment. I will also be getting £27.89 in postage refund and a £50 goodwill payment to "Restore my confidence in the service they provide" Totally crazy. I asked for a £250 goodwill payment to split the difference on the £500 in losses I am facing from the difference in price of silver and the other losses from hallmarking/postage etc. The CEO office reply was simply, No. It would seem they have chosen "Trial by combat" Crazy that if the Royal Mail finds my package they could just sell the silver for £2800 spot price and be in profit over £200 It has happened before... https://www.thesun.co.uk/money/15859526/royal-mail-missing-parcels-sold-at-auction/ Would not put it past them. If this happens eventually there will be some very strongly worded videos produced and a number of solicitors letters sent me thinks.
