  1. More interesting than Sovereigns:wacko:..........heard it all now, they are French for crying out loud.......................

No kidding apart they do look an interesting set to hunt for and certainly pleasing to the eye............Am extremely lazy this morning cant be bothered to find out for myself but how do they equate to the British Sov in terms of gold content, carat, pricing etc........

Please dont all just say find out for yourself,I'm too lazy as I said, and this way will allow someone to show off their knowledge of these matters if they are prepared to.............................

  2. I like most of those, interesting thread.........get yourself a big lead lined safe and try and get hold of some of the irradiated ones when they become available and I bet they will have a hell of a return on investment as scarcity value should be excellent with most of the mintage being vaporised................

  3. If we are still  here in 5 years then gold is still way undervalued and I'm still a buyer at today's price. N Korea big issue right now, but if we get beyond NK issue eventually tackling the global debt  crisis will push gold a lot higher still imo..........

  4. Like to see it fall as would like to buy...........head on the block can see few more pullbacks from time to time but contrary to usual with interest rises, certain imo, I will be bullish for gold with gradual upward trend hitting £1050/£1100 end of year.

If Trumpy manages to get the dollar to crash, which he could do.........then fireworks.......... gold will rocket..........but dont think it will be allowed to happen and manipulation will continue with steady upward trend though

Probably complete bo**ox Harry Dent reckons it'll be $400/£330 at end of year......truth imo nobody has a clue re prediction of gold price WAY TOO MANY BLACK SWANS ABOUT........

  5. Way too complicated and volatile with so much new unchartered waters around like Italys' referendum ,elections in France and Germany coming up soon......"Mad Dog " General appointed US Defence Sec, Japans ecconomy just about flushed down the bog, more QE, etc etc.....Personally can see it dropping to £880..£850 wouldnt surprise me at all..........NOTHING would at the moment including people who think they know what will happen..........simple truth is nobody knows.

Longer term outlook 2...5 years I'm still very bullish for gold but going to be some big waves to ride.............glad I'm not a flipper must be having some hellish sleepless nights.......so much easier to just buy it, put it away and forget about it.............

  6. Yea Atties small sellers premiums on Pandas,Lunars,Phillies,Buffulos have all gone too buying all 1oz gold coins at bully prices now except Maples for which you'll get 2-3 dollars more for................thats how they make their money.............................. but they are having a laugh with the double whammy ie screwing you both as a buyer or seller for the max possible...............

  7. Got to take a two three year look at this at least in my view.........If your a flipper your in for alot of work even since yesterday and today and lot of money to be made or lost...................Good Luck.............Longer term totally different situation...........collector total different situation.

I can see £950/£930 coming up fairly quickly and I'd consider that as a buying opportunity but still with a long terrm view.

Others have said above Brexit/Trump isnt going to have a steadying effect on spot till at least end of 2018 probably longer ,I agree......................Too many people read that MIke Maloney and Rickhards bollox of gold hitting $10 and $15000 by middle of next year, with total destruction of monetray system as we know it............load of B/S and if it did happen be a lot of use to you anyway in Starbucks with a standard Mocha being about £15.

Have to keep reminding yourself" why you are in this game................."flipper,one set of rules, long term invester, another set, numismatic collector another set" but as the saying goes "you can keep some of the people happy some of the time, most of them happy most of the time but NEVER all of them happy all of the time".............sorry but will repeat myself..........................".why you are in this game................."flipper,one set of rules, long term invester, another set, numismatic collector another set" .

Make your mind up time Ladies and Gents..................

  8. I think there will be quite a correction 3rd quarter this year which I see as a last good buying opportunity..........then a rise 4th quarter to maybe $1500/$1550 and steady increases from then but dont see it making $1900+ until end of 2018 and can then see it slowly creeping up over next 5-10 years.

Am convinced these are the very early days of a long running bull market, global economy is in total meltdown re negative interests rates, pumping billions after billions of more I O Us' into the system and growth world wide being next to nothing.

Simple truth is however nobody knows and what I've just written could be total  rollocks..............especially if a big black swan comes along like Putin flexing his muscles again round his borders, or bigger troubles in the Middle East or push and shove in the South China Seas, leads to something a little tastier.

Only thing I'm certain of is world geo political situation is a disaster, currencies are falling by the wayside everywhere you look and history teaches us that Political Instability leads to Currency Wars (they've both started already, which leads to Wars with guns and bullets.........only this time they will be bigger bullets.

Very dodgy times ahead I reckon as general populus seems to have turned its back on conventional politics, and who can blame them, and that also always leads to major swing to the Right Politically, which from any History Books I've ever read is NEVER a good thing...............

    Happy Days Good Stacking/Collecting....................

  9. However, for the same money as a modern quarter sovereign, you can easily buy a Victorian shield half sovereign. In my opinion a much much better buy, and will keep it's value much better than the modern stuff.

You, ApisMellifera and Pipers like this  Unlike this

Bang on and as straightforward as HT says.................It has to be my medication but I cant get my head round some of the other views on this one.............all about opinions I know but am totally with HT on this........Good Luck.............

  10. i think so and purely selfishly would like to see it pullback even lower $1270ish/$1250..........Very early days of a hopeful new long running even very long 8/10 year bull market and a lower price over the short term would mark a final major buying opportunity for me as once Gold breaks  above $1400, which I've every confidence it will, I cant see major leg downs from there very much,if at all,and it will then hopefuly be onwards and upwards for a good few years.

Probably nothing lke that will happen but it is how I would love to see it play out for my long term bullion strategy..................whichj is a highly complicated one of simply accumulate as much as I can and sit on it for as long as I can, pretty complex stuff I know...........

  11. As long as the financial uncertainty remains next 12 months at least if not 24 or 36+ even Gold prices will be up and down constantly with swings easy the size of yesterdays or greater imo. Brexit was a once in a generation game changer and I dont care what or who says it nobody knows where this is heading with any credible degree of certainty yet, we are truly in uncharted waters.

Purely personal decisions based on your goals......if a flipper flip when you like and don't get down if price shoots up next day, similarly don''t be over pleased with yourself if price tanks next day, that's flipping, just stay calm and accept it and enjoy the ups and downs, hopefully with more ups than downs though of course.

Different for me I'm in it for my Grand kids and if I'm still here I'll still be a buyer when I believe Gold is undervalued, as I do now, and I can afford some.I doubt I'll ever cash my stack in..........GKs' can do what they like with it when I've left it to them.

Even if it crashes it will never be worthless like those useless "I owe you" bits of paper always end up being one day or other.
