Gadaffi was not far short of galvanising the African nations before the west decided he was a tyrant 🔫. 💣

No sides, just facts. Would you take destruction and debts or infrastructure and wealth.
Railways to transport wealth out of the country?

They've not been a loud to develop, the west made sure of that.
India had one of the biggest economy in the world and look what we left them. Estimated at over 45 trillion worth of wealth stolen by us brits.

The west will resort to war to stop it from happening. If Africa can come together over the next few years the the west is done.
China is building the belt and road project and is spending huge amounts buying all the natural resources but is also investing in the country's with infrastructure.
The west just destroy these countries.
In 20 years the west will be the poor one's and will be moving over there.

Exactly, why should they pander to those countries that have no natural resources purely because historically they "ruled the waves" It'll take time but we will see a shift to a more commodity based market. As these countries grow in wealth and understanding they'll start to demand that they are transacted in with their currency as it is redeemable back to them in gold

Profound question my friend
-
NumisNewbie reacted to Richard82 in Gold Monitoring Thread £ GBP only
Africa is wanting to change to a commodity base financial system.
Take a look at Niger after they've kicked France and the USA out. Gone from selling uranium for 85 cents to the market value of 200 dollars and is now the fifth fastest growing economy and is expected to do even better in the coming years.
Why should the countries that have gold etc swap it for meaningless paper, and how is there currency so poor compared to the dollar when they own most of the world's wealth? 🤔

I've sent him a message, I did locate a historic threat (unfortunately only after doing a search of his username after becoming suspicious). How on earth is this guy still allowed to post listings on this forum. He even had relatively recent good feedback!

Think this is a compliment 😄 thanks. There are obviously no guarantees with any strategy - the price could halve next week and then we'd all be buying in at any premium! But as a general principle, given that we don't know which way the gold price will go from one day to the next, or even one month to the next, but that the general trend over a long enough period of time is up, then buying at low premiums makes the most sense to me.
Interesting point on the proofs as well, and a reminder that they are a very different type of investment to bullion - they happen to be gold but that isn't what really influences their value.
