I'm currently reading The creature from Jekyll Island by G Edward Griffith. The US of A had 3 failed central banks before the Fed was created in 1911...
We're not allowed to learn from history as the bankers control everything.

We are a funny bunch us stackers.
We were still moaning and groaning spot should be so much higher when it was £800z not so many years back
Why weren't we selling the family silver to stock up on gold if we knew it was going to double in next 6-7 years
Now I'm a good decade and half into this stacking experiment I now come to realise most folk are only ever on "now o'clock"
I will still be buying, these prices now as just "the new normal" ultimately, I'm converting depreciating fiat into gold
net results, i will have an increased holding of gold. than I did last month
Spot can do what it likes, it will only be relevant when it comes to time I choose to cash out in my twilight years, in 20+ years time
If the steady uptrend in gold continues & unlimited fiat printed funny money printed we should be around the £10,000oz by then  (hopefully)

The folk who have the balls and willpower to buy high ticket proof gold stuff today at unloved mid four figures today may be very well rewarded when positive sentiment and happiness returns to the market in 5-10years time

At the end of the day, whatever you price you sell at depends on what you have bought for. Some people the current ‘spot’ price is actually a lot more than they paid, so no problem?
smaller stuff will sell better as more people are feeling the pinch and obviously have less money to spend here, so something bought is better than nothing 🤔🫢

I think anything 100g or less in gold is currently game.
My involvement and knowledge of the PMs market only revolves around TSF. The 1ozs have struggled to sell here but i do feel as though once we get some stability on the price action, the appetite for the 1oz coins will increase where a premium can be commanded above spot( Not just Spot plus post - situation the forum is currently in) .
The fractional pieces are a great buy if you can get them at the right price and the forum has it in abundance atm.

For the future I would love to see a possible barter situation for any weight of gold (Car, building work, money transfer Fx, labour fee, etc)

Nice to see the sovereign launch, and seems to be a sensible we are back to the standard G&D there's not a variant design, privy mark or crown in sight
and the mintages back to limited numbers for the larger 4 and 5 set
Have the RM been reading threads here ???
If this trend continues for 5-10 years to come, this will probably be good for those holding the platinum jubilees and currently unloved memorials
    Not buying anything myself today
If I'm to buying anything sovereign wise anytime soon it'll be PF70 platinum jubilees and memorials if the price is right

The SOTD series is certainly interesting as it builds. The 2017 and this year's coronation should be seen as the best thus far.
The brexit SOTD may have its day in decades to come, possibly?
They may sink or swim as a series, but RM don't look like they intending on dropping it anytime soon, seeing as they can wheel the SOTD out for anything of significance
Pick em up if you can find any cheap

725 gbp is just killing the market. how can possibly this proof sov keep this value over time? (we are talking about a 90% premium over spot, which is already at its all time high)

Honestly I can see them being like mid 90’s proof sovereigns, low mintage low demand, due to inflation etc etc.  Could they come good over time ?  100% yes.

Good to see they’ve brought the 5 and 2 sov mintages way down, but I don’t think this will save these coins from being a steer clear and buy on the secondary market in years to come.

It is sad how little excitement this set has generated.  Going back a few years the Forum would have been buzzing at the release of a proof sovereign.
